Can someone tell me how we know Ben and Heather are married (per OP?)? The last I saw was the star refusal.. did I miss her at the table? I didn't see her after that. I don't know if they are married but they got up from the table together holding hands. They are at least together.

Yes, I got that they were together but did not see or hear anything that showed they were married. Did everyone catch that Sarah and Scott's baby was named after Bill? And yes, I also caught the glimpse of Bill at the table's head.

I thought the fact that Sarah named her baby after Bill said a lot (that and Barb said Sarah attended their church)...I think it indicated that she finally respected his life choices.

Ben and Heather are both wearing wedding rings. That is how we know that they are married.
I guess I am in the minority here, but I thought the ending was terrible. Absolute crap, actually. They clearly Chuck Cunninghamed Joey and that really angers me. We have no idea what happened to Alby and Adalene. What is going on at Juniper Creek? Why couldn't we see Cara Lynn with Greg? That would have been a better ending for her. Whose funeral were they at? My husband thinks it was Ben and Heather's wedding that we were at, but they were all in black. Mormon weddings are always white. I really can't fathom why Nicki deserves a happy ending after all the crap she has done. And JOEY! I am so mad that they never mentioned him again. Are Ben and Heather polygamists? Were they able to work that out? Maybe we were at Sara's baby's dedication or baptism, but we have no clue.
I really thought that there was way too much missing. And, I guess I have a heart of stone, because I found myself saying, when Carl was talking to Bill, "I hope he takes out a gun and shoots Bill."

That's when I started crying again.

But how about poor Don? Well-meaning hard-working guy just ruined by all the craziness and Bill's need to go public.

Do you guys know who the woman was in Bill's flashback to the past while he was addressing his church group? She sort of smiled in approval just before the kid's coughing brought Bill back to the present.

Also, the scene opens with "eleven months later" at the bottom of the screen.

I took the person to be Emma Smith and Bill's revelation that women can be priesthood holders. That is why he had Barb give him a blessing.

Southernsong: I agree that there were lots and lots of loose ends. I think they should have done a two-hour finale and tied things up in a more satisfying way. Did Bill's shedding light on the Principle in the Senate have any lasting impact? What happened to Nikki's girl? There was so much left hanging.

Yes, Emma Smith, of course. That makes sense. Thanks!
