Barb says her responsibilities have changed and she will no longer be hauling kids and groceries full time. What do you think that means? Did she get a job? Is she taking over management of Home Plus? Will she be living somewhere apart from the kids and the rest of the family?

I think it was just a dig at Nicki. You wannabe first wife? Here you go. That includes all the responsibilities that go with it. Ain't it fun?

She actually says she isn't hauling kids and lots of groceries around anymore since Nicki and Bill keep reminding her that her responsibilities have changed. Also, it shows the look of absolute gloom on Nicki's face when Barb is saying that she, Barb, no longer has to haul kids and grub......looks like Nicki insisted on taking over the lion's share of responsibilities of first wife and got what she insisted upon...funny!! I wonder if Nickie will learn anything from another life lesson? "Be careful what you ask for , because you may get it"LOL, oh I forgot it's Nickie we're talking about, ;D

Yes, that look harks back to the prequel when Nikki had her first baby and thought her life was over.

Really it shouldn't be Barb's job to haul the kids anyway. With Teeny with Sarah she has no kids to schlep around.

With Bennie leaving, Cara Lynn is the only one old enough to drive, and good luck getting Nikki to let her get a license. Those five little kids are going to need a lot of schlepping by somebody. I'm thinking Barb has reached some kind of decision to give up her role as Mom-in-Chief.

From the line she says, "my responsibilities have changed, as you and Bill keep reminding me" is that the duties of grocery and kid trips has been taken out of Barb's hands, probably in Nicki's mind that meant taking the reins from Barb......Barb figured to go for the freedom it gave her and Nicki's line about calling the sports car "in your face" could appropriately be aimed at Nicki!!And isn't is wonderful to see Barb in the convertible with the wind in her hair and her big smile while Nikki is fuming in the cramped back seat! IN YOUR FACE!

You know, speaking of Barb giving Nikki what she wanted as Mom-in-Chief... Nikki never paid for - or it was never addressed that she lied about going to see the Principal. The first time she had the opportunity as a public wife (without Barb), she takes her crazy behind to the school and inadvertently injures a child. No one ever really addressed that. It would really be nice to see how or if her character ever evolved from the frighteningly loony, impulsive lying manipulator she is. I'm sure Margene will have to grow up quickly because Nikki leaves scorched earth where ever she goes. She was the reason in that nosy employee was followed by a Hummer, she was the reason the family was sunk into almost $60,000 worth of debt. And another thing no one ever confronted her about her reason for lying to Bill and Barb saying she wanted to have Bill's baby, calling him from work for sex because "she was ovulating" and the whole time she was on birth control. My God! I hate how some of these things were never addressed, they just slid by the wayside. Barb should have just gone ghetto crazy one day and beat the living daylights out of her and Bill. I love it. Barb in her convertible - divorced, not legally married, and in charge of the check book!

Nikki never get what's coming to her. If there is any justice, please, please, please let her get what's coming to her . . . PLEASE!!!!!
p.s. -- She looked thoroughly p.o.'d in Honeybee -- I certainly hope she was.

i, for one, am getting a little tired of all the "Nicki bashing" ...yes, Nicki is "damaged," yes, Nicki is "messed up" ... but let's remember where she came from ... to me, one of the most beautiful scenes in this ENTIRE SHOW was Bill and Nicki among the clotheslines at the compound (i don't remember if it was a "dream sequence" or what) ... Nicki and Bill understand each other ... they grew up the same way ... they BELIEVE in the "principle" with their hearts and souls ... so many of you seem to discount that like it's nothing ...

In the first episode: Pilot: "Honeybee" was referred to Teenie's "Scout" troop name.

Nikki can't be bashed enough. Honestly she has lied and manipulated so much throughout the series.
1. I'm trying to have another baby. It's time. Then she starts working Barb's nerves about the schedule. The whole time on birth control.
2. The debts.
3. Witness tampering. I can't feel for Nikki. Her upbringing is no excuse.

I know a Nikki in "real life." I think the trick to living with a Nikki is to get over the anger and don't expect anything you're not going to get from them. The Hendrickson's need to recognize that everything she says is either a lie or a manipulation or both, never let her get in a position to hurt them financially or emotionally, stop feeding into her crazyness, and call her out every time she tries to put one over on them. She is not going to initiate change, they have to do it. It's surprising how much people can change, even people with deep seated issues such as Nikki.
She's a member of the family so they can't just boot her out. They could sure do a better job of dealing with her!
