Yes, It was mentioned in the first season that Alby had attended law school. The way it was said seemed to imply that he may not have finished and passed the bar, though, IIRC. I remember it as Roman referring to it as something else that Alby had failed at. Thanks Withay, for the clarification; I couldn't remember the details of it all, only vague mention of it.

Attention: (fyi)
I just posted a new thread in our "Compound Lounge", if you get a chance, just stop by to check it out. Just scroll down to the bottom of the Home Page here to find it, then click on compound lounge.
I found a very, very interesting article about W.Jeffs, it seems that as of 2/11, he's taken back over the flds presidency!! And he's actively doing the job!
I just wanted to draw everyone's attention to this new find, since we've spent a lot of time today discussing Alby. You won't want to miss this one!

I think the law degree was mention in reference to Alby going to that police station and staring at the offiver's butts?
He had this whole list of "illegal activities" and then she said that he went to law school.
And Roman mentioned it also.

You know, I really wish that they would have Nicki team up with Alby. I love that unholy union. It was exciting in season three/four until she went back to the family. The two of them are so damaged and evil to the core. They are both so self-serving. I just love how villainous they can be together. More of that and less of this domestic witch they have made her into.

I know it sounds mean and I might get some smites from the Nikki fans, but I kind of wished Alby had killed Nikki. That would have made an interesting twist. However it was smart to kill Verlin because Verlin knew about all of Alby's evil and illegal schemes (e.g. plot against Don, Bill, etc.).

Hey kambria, I think he may have been moved to kill Verlin so that he could underline to Nicki that he has no qualms about doing anything at anytime to anyone....hoping she would be kowed...... Also, as far as we know, Verlin was the only one who knew Alby was planning to kill Bill. So when Nicki went into Alby's office after Verlin told her, Alby knew that Verlin was not loyal to him. Since Verlin was not loyal and Alby had made sexual passes to him, Verlin was of no use to Alby except to show Nicki what he was capable of.

Plus, when Verlin later came in, (after he had put Nicki in the closet) & ask Verlin if the job was done & Verlin told him, "yes, he's 5 feet below", Alby knew that he had lied to him. Plus w/Alby killing Verlin right in front of Nicki, this makes Nicky a witness who stood by, didn't stop it, & didn't go to the police. Alby & Nicki really do share a sicko mentality when it comes to this kind of dark stuff. Did you notice how quickly she came up w/the childhood story of how Alby had saved her in the water current [river]. Very smart & fast on Nicki's part. Now they are on the same team. All the more reason Nicki won't press charges against the teacher!

I took that to be a discussion about the grave he had dug that was covered by the tent...where he then took Nicki instead of Bill. I'll have to try and watch it again.

LOL, Withay, you ARE right & thanks. I was trying to watch this scene while getting milk for everyone here before bedtime etc.
Ha, he was done digging the hole, guess Verlin had no idea it was his own hole he was digging. That's funny, @ the time I heard it, I thought they were talking about Bill being done. LOL

Do you think Verlin is really dead? We've had resurrections before.

I think Nicki will now blackmail Alby for ownership those shares of home plus that belonged to Don. That way she can get back at Barb for keeping 1st wife financial responsibilities.

I thought for sure that Alby was going to kill Nikki. And then I thought, the opening credits do make sense now. Because I always thought that it looked like Nikki was dead, floating in the air.
I'm glad she's not dead even though she's become a not so nice person.

Yes Betheaz, that was odd, I would hope that it was one of his wives.
Another odd thing I noticed, was when Nicki returned home in that same garb, NO one ask her where she had been etc. Truly, she didn't look like the same Nicki (as when she left her home). Goes to show us that no one noticed any difference! They're too wrapped up in all the drama in their lives.
