And how about Bill and Ben showing up at their house all spiffy clean with nice clean clothes after the nightmare they'd just been thru in Mexico!

They had dropped Frank, Lois, Jodeen, and Joey off. They could have cleaned up there so Barb wouldn't be suspicious.

I kind of got the impression some time had passed between the severed arm scene and them pulling up in front of Bill's house. maybe not a LOT of time but a day or two.
The distance from salt lake city ( couldnt pull up sandy) to mexico is arounf 1300 miles. So around 18.5 hours going 70mph. I looked it up out of curiousity.

Since we're talking about things that don't make sense...I asked this in the other thread about Margene marrying Goran...Why did Ana even go along with this? Isn't Ana a US citizen? Since she and Goran were already engaged, why didn't she just marry Goran early to avoid the visa mess? I'm just not understanding this plot line at all.

I'm not certain on the INS laws or anything, but I suspect maybe Anna is unable to marry Goran to get him citizenship being a naturalized citizen herself ... OR she isn't completely naturalized yet maybe?
I think if they were married before she came to the US it might have worked out differently. I'm not sure.

Time on tv isn't real time as our friend withay tells us. Certainly, it's so true. If you notice in the books on flds that you may read, in many of the stories, as example: one minute they're telling you about being in CA or Mexico & the next they're in SLC or Arizona or Columbia. Just like it's around the block or something. I think they just get in the car & magically arrive there!! Very unrealistic, imo. Or their clocks/watches work differently than ours, LOL. Maybe Gypsy FLDS would be more fitting.

A naturalized citizen can still marry an immigrant & give him citizenship. My sister & I are naturalized. She married an immigrant and he eventually become a citizen.

"Frank is either blind to Roman's evil doings, or just so evil himself he doesn't care. For some reason they are buds...Not sure why. But then again, it wasn't Frank's father who was prophet before Roman, it was Lois's." My first post will have to be short because I am on break, but I hope I have time to come and post more as I read this forum all the time (and am a total BL addict!) I'll get the quote to work right next time, I promise! It is my understanding that on FLDS compounds in the past 60 years or so that there is a strict heirarcy amongst the male preisthood holders - that means that if you are a man with many wives and those at the head of the church (ie Roman in this show) dislike how you behave they have the right to strip you of everything. To begin with, your family's income is tied to the church - most families get their daily needs from large warehouses and whatnot, and many men work jobs tied to the FLDS church, and even those that don't have to pitch in their earnings in whatever percentage those in charge deem "pious". So if one was to fall out of grace with the men in charge you could find any personal funds being redirected to the church, your wives and children placed with other men, and yourself at the total mercy of those in charge, much like the "lost boys". Frank and every other male who wants any kind of standing needs to basically kiss the Prophet's ass every second they can get. You will see Frank mention this in the most recent episode Blood Atonement, but it is my understanding that the inner circle of the FLDS church uses this financial grip to make people do whatever they want. After all, unless you renounce your faith, where else are you to take your polygamous family? And if you are faithful, you should want to do whatever the Prophet asks of you, right? He IS your savior after all..... That aside, anyone else wondering what happened to Roman's youngest wife who went off with the trucker (I am presuming something horrible)? Do we think this event may crop up in Bill running for Senate at all? If there's a topic about this already my apologies - I have been reading the episode-specific boards until recently

Hollace saying to Bill he has his first born air when talking about Ben... Wasn't Sarah the oldest? Or is it only considered an "AIR" if it is a boy?

I think heir refers to males only. "heiress" isn't a term Hollis likely knows LOL
