Hi
maybe its possible that Roman really only had girls (aside from Alby and maybe some younger children), many of the European royals in the past would have scores of children; but maybe only one or two male heirs.

Andre, we did see Evie last week - she arrived with Adaleen. And at family events we've seen one or two others.
That's the problem with a show about polygamy - there are WAY too many people involved to cast them all!

That is a very good point...There is just not enough room on the set or time in such a short season for us to meet everyone.

With the amount of wives Roman had...And how old he was when he died...He must have about 100 children lol! I shudder to think that there are 98 other Alby and Nikis running around on JC and other compounds. It makes JJ look, well less evil. lol

Some thing that doesn't make sense to me: How did Joey end up married to Wanda? Did they ever address this on the show? And just for giggles: Bill's face when Nicki said there were no bottoms! Yikes! Gave me the creeps!

Welcome to the boards Trixie! I can't remember Joey and Wanda's backstory ever being told, but that doesnt mean it wasnt lol I do recall that Joey played for the NFL. I never really udnerstood how he ended up back at the compound in general though?

Joey was injured playing football, got addicted to painkillers and that's how he ended up back at JC.

Oh yeah, wasnt there something about him being an alcoholic or something too? I just remember one episode him "falling off the wagon" and margene and nicki coming to help wanda who was all " I think he's sick" (or something?) and margene was like " He's drunk."

With the amount of wives Roman had...And how old he was when he died...He must have about 100 children lol! And just imagine what that number would have been had he lived to be 100 & something!! I looked this up & just wanted to pass it on, Joseph Smith only had 11 children, all by his first wife. Brigham Young, had somewhere between 56-70 between his 16 wives!!!! Imagine (as a parent) trying to remember all of the children's birthdays!! I guess there's a reason the compounds don't do birth certs. Walmart doesn't sell a file cabinet big enough, lol.

Yeah that is just nuts. I am all for having a big family and all, but there is a point where you gotta stop lol!
Can you imagine having to pay child support on 70 children?

In the first season, I believe Nicki does say how many brothers she had growing up (and more were probably added after she moved out). It's when Ben has the wet dream and is trying to hide it. Nicki catches him carrying his sheets, and he gets all embarrassed. She catches on to what the problem is, and points out that she had x number of brothers growing up.
Also, I think Roman states how many kids he has in the family portrait episode, or the episode right after. There's a scene at night where he's holding a small baby, and if I remember correctly, he tells Bill (or someone, but I think it's Bill) what number the baby is.
I just thought that might help!

Also, Nikki said to Adaleen in the second episode this season that she was just daughter number 8, a commodity to be traded...
Now did she mean daughter number 8 with just Adaleen or with all the mothers?

In the first season, Joey and Wanda's story was addressed. They both grew up on the compound and Joey was a football star who ended up going pro. He was injured and ended up addicted to pain killers and kicked off the team. He was living on the streets. Wanda had always had a crush on him so she went and found him, brought him back to Juniper Creek and got him clean. Then they got married and had little Joey. Joey originally did not want another wife but Lois brought Kathy to stay with them after her much older husband died and while Wanda was in a psych hospital. Lois thought they needed another wife to help take some of the pressure off Wanda. Then Jpoey fell in love with Kathy too.

It's not really something that doesn't make sense, but it pisses me off.
Why the heck does Teensy keep getting sent away. I understand the need to replace her, but she keeps missing huge family events. Like Sara's wedding and crap like that. They have very loose explanations for her whereabouts. It's almost seemed like when Barb brought up where T had been it was forced and unnecessarily.
I'm sure they had to replace her because she shows up once a season looking much older that her previous appearance 10 episodes before. What was she going to look like this year, Lindsay Lohan?
If they didn't want Barb and Bill to have a 3rd child, kill her off or something. I'm afraid they're going to write her out like Richie Cunningham's older brother. Up the stairs after basketball practice and never to be heard from again.

well, amanda seyfried (sarah) has said she wont be on the show after this season. Unless they replace her... that means one less kid for bill and barb - So maybe Teeny will start to playa larger role now that she's been "replaced" by another actress and sarah is leaving?
