Poor Barb, her cope container is full...
I am amazed she was so calm when Ben returned home. I wonder if the wives knew what really happened?

I loved Nicki's line "Don't leave us here with Mrs Petrovic!"

I'd really like to see Barb just completely lose it one time... I think it would do her some good. Her cope container has been filled many times , but we've neevr seeen her just completely explode. If she doesnt let it out it's gonna eat her up...

I agree! which is why (despite margene's feelings) I was glad she did! I just get so exhausted watching her keep so much internalized, and neevr allowing herself to let it out.

If she let loose once in a while it would make her like the other wives, and she seems to represent herself as somewhat holier than thou. I find her whole character annoying, but most seem to like her so...

Its sad to think that Barb is the one in this family that has given up the most to make it work and yet when everything happens she is the one that has to deal with it and clean it up and fix it. Yes her cope container is full, but how much more can she or will she take before she just walks away?

I want her to snap soooo badly, but what I really believe (or hope) is that the stress will push her right into the arms of Mr Tommy.

Futureperfect, I find Barb's character holier than thou too. I think that is the facade that Barb puts on to cope with everything. Try to imagine being Barb. Read my really long post under the thread "Poor Barb" because if I posted anything that long again I would feel foolish. I am not sure if Barb knows who she is or what she is now. Look at how she ran out of the sweet house when she heard Tommy's wife died. I'm sure that elicited feelings of Barb when she was dealing with her own death. Maybe when Tommy said that his wife died a couple of years ago Barb felt as though she did too.
I bet Barb's Cope Container is full! Gosh can you imagine dealing with all of that? I don't see where Barb has the time to get everywhere. How far away is the casino? I am imagining that Barb is going to Home Plus too. All of Barb's containers are probably full at this point.

I can't imagine how much she feels like she owes Bill and Nikki, and the compromises- maybe- that he made to get the money so she could live. Buuuutttt,
She dug this pit herself. She always talks about it all being about an eternal perspective. But as far as that goes she turned her back on her beliefs. Tossed it all to stand by her man. Or to repay some perceived debt she owed to him. He did what he felt he wanted to. And she made her choices too. She can hardly blame this mess on those who showed up late. She made the choice. She chose Bill instead of her faith-- and his carry on bags and suitcases, and duffels, and apparently make up stands!

From my understanding the biggest difference between LDS and FLDS beleifs is polygamy. Barb was raised LDS, so aside from deciding to live the "principle" I dont think she leaped that far from her beleifs. Seh gave up a great deal in leaving the church. I get that. But i also think she felt (maybe not immediately but at some point) she had gained a larger family , and the ability to keep growing her family... which was important to her.
Everything barb does in her life is for the grander scheme of what's to come in the next life - or afterlife. So I dont think Barb felt liek she was chosing bill over her faith. i think she fet she was following him to a greater faith or purpose. whether she feels that way now or not , it's somethign she must continually convicne herself of - or she is completely lost.

That was the best line of the whole strange episode. Well that and when Bill's mom told Bill to leave his dad and then decided she should add someone could come back later to get him.
