When Barb apologizes to Margie they talk about the big new house, and how it will bring them closer together etc.
I am shocked they were so easily won over by Bill... I was really hoping they wouldn't let him distract them that way.

Barb sounded for it, but still in the "I'm an obedient wife and this is what my husband wants" kind of way. Margie...I don't think she is as sold on the idea. She definitely wants to keep her outside office, does NOT want to work from home, and she was telling Nicki that she (Margie) was going to have to be the wife to fill up that house with kids because Barb can't and Nicki won't. She didn't sound delighted about that prospect either.

I think the big house is a great idea, unlike the majority here. Together and separate under the same roof, and a huge kitchen and dining room and various rooms in which they can be together if they want and lots of rooms wherein they can be separate.

Margie definitely doesn't think she needs a home office. Barb meant it for whatever business Margene develops, and implied that the current one is temporary. Lots of undercurrent about that business of Margenes....

Yeah, what was going on there? Why was Barb suggesting that Margene's business might be temporary?

I think Barb realizes when Bill outs them as polygamists things could very easily fall apart...
But that makes her stance make even less sense because how are they going to afford that big house?

Barb sounded really odd. Was she lying or something? It was too sweet and too nice. Something is up.

Is this the first time we have seen Margene's office? Where is it located?

I never have seen Margene's office. I think Barb said something like "I like what you have done did you decorate it?"

Barb sounded so disengaged in that whole conversation. Even her "Businesses come and go but family is here to stay." sounded like it came from a script. Maybe she's drank too much of the kool-aide.

I think Barb was being sincere whe she said the "big house" was going to bring them closer together. Thing is, I think Barb realizes how seperated her family has become, how out of touch & divided... and she is going to grasp at ANYTHING that offers a shred of hope of "putting humpty dumpty back together again".
Barb can't function without a plan, without somethign offering solid hope that she can hold onto. Rational or not I could see her buying into the renewed closeness she craves being facilitated by living closer - or together as one family. Maybe she see's it as a refuge for them after they "come out". She's running out of straws to grasp otherwise... and liek i said she needs one to be able to function.
Margene's home office and barb's comment about business being temporary - i agree were spoken clues as to how she thinks things will go once they come out as poly.
she's trying to prepare for it, in her very "barb" way of having a plan.

Margene is enjoying her independence way too much, and Barb is trying to "reign her in" and was pretty underhanded in suggesting that Margene's business was 1. Going to fail, and 2. Implying that it isn't as important as Margene thinks it is, and isn't as important as her job at the Casisno! Barb is on a power trip, and is trying to keep Margene under her thumb, and not letting her get "too big for her britches".

But Barb needs to reign Margene in because Margene does things that put the family at risk all the time. Margene doesnt think she acts on impulse. I think a lot of it has to do with her age.

I got the feeling that Barb was buttering Margene up for some reason? She was too sweet and apologetic after such strong emotions with the Ben-Margene kiss. Something is up with Barb.
