Go Barb! I was shout-out-loud-proud of her when she scribbled through Bill's name on that contract with Marilyn, and signed it. I REALLY like the way the female characters - all of them - are finding their spines this season.

i thought that was one of the reasons i felt this ep was so significant... al the wives are begining to question out loud and realize its ok , that they're not sinners / bad wives just for refusing to follow blindly. I was shouting at the tv this ep too lol glad i wasnt the only one

I was like 'barb don't do it!' while I support her being independent I think she is practically selling her soul to the devil with this one....I almost expected Marilyn to develop glowing red eyes and start laughing like the spirit of jazz (which will only make sense if you've watched The Mighty Boosh; if not then watch this clip...) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv9yCRicano&feature=related

While I was glad that she made a decision on her own, I really wish it was a decision I felt better about with someone I trusted. If this goes bad, it will only give Bill something to throw in her face about why he should make all decisions.

I just loved that she stood up to Bill, period. Calling him on the carpet about having sex with TWO women outside of marriage, when he was already married to her and Nicki -- good for her. She was absolutely right -- Bill keeps saying everything they are doing is for the greater good -- his business, the casino, all the kids, this senate race and their family coming out of the polygamy closet -- but it all seems like it's what Bill thinks is good for Bill, not what will be best for the whole family. His wives bring up important things that need to be discussed, and he always brushes them off, "I'll talk to you about it later." Then he makes HUGE, life-changing decisions that will affect them all, without consulting any of them.

I personally think his taking all of the wives to see the house he wants to buy was his way of taking the attention off of what he has done.

I was so happy that Barb ripped Bill a new one. The only bad part was that Bill didn't listen. None of it soaked in.

And he presented that 9000 sq foot monstrosity (what on earth would a 9000 sq ft home cost???) as what he was doing for them, but didn't he say, "This is what I've always wanted"? So again, it's all about Bill and what he wants -- which evidently is to be the prophet with a huge house and a harem of his own.

Yes, Barb signed the contract, but for the wrong reasons. She just found out about Ana's out of wedlock pregnancy and Marilyn's playing her like a violin. I't's mainly a reaction to Bill, not a good reason to make an important business decision.

I didn't care so much about the contract because it almost made Barb look stupid. That Marilyn is a slippery woman who can do a lot of damage. So, signing that contract made Barb look like she was a "scorned woman" and signed the contract out of revenge. Which she did, but Barb is a smart woman and could've signed that contract using her intelligence, not scorn. Ya know what I mean? The scene with Bill and Barb? Where she questions it all...I LOVED IT. It was about time!!!!!!!!!! I felt like a veil was lifted before her eyes and she finally got it. got Bill, go all Bill's actions, all his crap and all his motivation. It was all clear to her now. It should be good.

And just wait until Barb finds out that Ben was kidnapped by the Greenes, because Bill kicked him out, to which Barb is already mad about. I really think Barb is now really questioning all that Bill does and how it is affecting all of them, and not in the ways that it should be. Its all about Bill and what Bill wants. It like a light bulb went off in Barbs' brain , she is seeing clearly now.

I was loving it when Barb came home and confronted Bill with all she had found out about Anna's baby, etc. However, Bill (once again) played the victim card and the imperfect human card and almost turned it around so that it was wrong of Barb to be questioning him about cheating TWICE!! When Bill got up and told her to get the other wives, I would have loved it even more had Barb told him to get Nicki and Marge himself - she wasn't going to be his little errand girl anymore! It will be interesting to see how this plays out....I really hope Barb doesn't let Bill off the hook so easily with the cheating thing. As much as I love this show, I can't stand Bills arrogance and self serving manner. I also love that she made a decision against Bill's wishes when she signed on Marilyn (just because she needs to do something to stand up for herslef!!), but I agree that it may have been a bad thing in the long run.

His whole attitude with Barb confronting him pissed me off. Look at how he reacted with the Nikki/Ray situation. He didn't let her off the hook for months. Margene was also in the dog house for a while after the Ben situation. And in those cases, the women never actually had sex with the other men. If the writers don't have Bill get his soon, I am going to be bitterly disappointed.
