I'll need a little more time to kind of digest all that happened this episode, but i have to say I think this may have been my favorite episode this season.
I was glad to see all the wives opening their eyes a little and questioning without feeling they were at fault for doing so. Especially barb.
and even though i saw some of the scene with nicki and caralyn coming .... mostly i didnt and was completely moved by the whole thing.
wow, lots to touch on... but in general - yeah i think it may have been the most significant ep this season.

WOW is about all I can say right now. WOW that Dale killed himself. WOW that Alby was going to seal Caralynn. Just WOW.

Definitely the most cringeworthy episode this season; some parts of it were genuinely horrible and difficult to watch, the scene with Adaleen and JJ singing to her was just yuck; it can't get much more car crash television than this, surely?

Oh one thing that was really stupid in this episode; the whole Greenes cropping up again was predictible but ludicrous but what on earth was the point of Selma getting arrested last season as a bargaining chip to get Hollis; only to escape so easily? A prisons in Utah that easy to escape from? It would have been more believeable had Selma NOT been with them; but come on this just beggars belief...

I thought it was an awesome episode!!!
YAY Barb for standing up to Bill and calling him out for the idiot he is!
YAY NIKKI for getting Caralyn the hell out of there before she was sealed to that grotesque man!
YAY Margene for standing up to Bill and admitting her fears!
YAY ANNA for not letting Bill walk all over her! I really am not thrilled she is pregnant but at the same time, BRAVO for not letting Bill suck her in again!
The whole thing with Lois, Frank and the Greens is crazy! I thought the greens were the ones selling the birds to lois in the first place?
The whole Dale thing...I kinda saw that coming. Though, I thought Laura was going to end up killing him and it not be a suicide...
BUT...I did not notice any stool or anything by his feet and Laura was hot on the trail..Is it possible she hanged him herself? I wonder what she said to his wife! OMG!
JJ and Adalene...YUCK! She was clearly disgusted by him!
The best line in this whole episode was Nikki's to Marge... "It's not going to be over for you until Benny is back from Lois's and Barb tucks him safely in his bed!" LMFAO! That made me laugh out loud.
Second to that was Marilyn to Bill "Why are you acting like suck a douche bag!!!" MWAHAHAH!

There was a chair on the floor next to Dale, kicked over on its side. I had a feeling Dale would be pushed to this -- the rumors among the trustees, being exposed to his own wife, and he was clearly in emotional agony when Bill was telling him how truly evil Alby can be, and when Dale was trying to explain to his church elders that he had fought and fought against his homosexual feelings, did everything they told him to do, when through aversion therapy and even shock treatments, and he still wasn't "cured". Poor Dale felt trapped and hopeless. When Bill confronted Dale about his relationship with Alby, and Dale was sobbing in the car, I felt so sad for him...and then Bill said he'd try to protect him, but there would likely be an investigation...Dale just couldn't see any other way out.

Oh was there a chair? I'll have to watch again. I felt SO sad for both Dale and Alby! I seriously cried.

I laughed hard at Marilyn's comment too. ;D "Oh yes, the eight district... " -Anna, the way she says it, lol. ;D Dale's struggle, and it's end, blew me away... I have to say, I am not a fan of the sometimes "cramped" feeling of the episodes lately, but IMO the writers do an amazing job of capturing the complexities of the characters with such little time. Lura's hurt, despite her evil, and the same with Alby. I think the Green's were selling the birds, yet Lois and Frank tried to get to HIS source. That's how I take it, and that's why he had such a problem. Not sure.

I think this episode was a major one and very pivotal for everyone.
EVERYONE had a major turning point in their life.
Bill Anna Barb Margene Nicki Alby Dale
Those were some big plots, storylines and scenes all in one hour. It was really really good.

I'm defnitely watching this one over ... glad i wasnt the only one left speechess byt his one. I came here right after watching to post some topics and help get some convo going. Normally there are 2/3 things that really stood out for me in the episode .... this whole episode left my head reeling though- so much so I was having a hard time picking it apart to star a thread. lol

Dude this episode was awesome. I had to pause it several times and take breaks because it was so emotional.
The whole Dale and Alby thing was just heartbreaking to me. I cried. I liked Dale's character and I liked them together. Alby bringing home flowers only to find him hanging - so so so sad.
I don't get why Nicki wore that outift and that hair... But I liked seeing her in protective mother Bear mode. I only wish we'd found out more about Wanda and JJ's creepy parents. They looked like something out of A Nightmare Before Christmas.
The Barb thing was to be expected and I'm glad she's finally standing up for herself. Hiring Marilyn was the right decision. I like the Flutes but they don't seem too business-saavy and Bill is too busy spinning other plates.
I don't know about the big house. I'm sure they all like their separate houses. It all looked very Big House on the compound to me.

I'm going to rewatch it tonight. I'm hoping I can get more of it and actually have some better formed opinions.
