Who else thinks that the series ends with Bill as prophet at Juniper Creek, running it how it should be run? Barb stands as his second, Nicki as the liasion between the old and the new, Marge as the business side so that the community makes its own way in the world without the taint of welfare fraud, etc.
My husband has sworn from the beginning this is how it ends, does anyone back him up? I think he may be right!!

"how it should be run"?!
I'm baffled by people here. They actually seem to support polygamy! There is no right way to run a polygamist compound. None.

Jim: what is wrong with polygamy if it is practiced by consenting adults?

I'd love to see someone like Bill at Juniper Creek. He strongly believes in the principle, but I think he would see to it that the underage marriages, the poor living conditions, and the abuse of women all stopped. He might even be open to giving women a more equal role. And no experimenting with in vitro fertilization! Polygamy is true to the history of Joseph Smith and the LDS. But this is not reality, it's drama. We're speculating on a FICTIONAL situation. Lighten up, Jim. I suspect almost everyone here would be horrified to see a real, honest-to-goodness FLDS compound.

I agree, have thought this all through season 5.

Jim: what is wrong with polygamy if it is practiced by consenting adults? You're joking, right? Do you know of a family more dysfunctional than the Hendricksons? Yeah sure, it's fiction. But most experts will tell you that most women in polygamist relationships are almost always victims to some degree... as are Bill's wives.

But most experts will tell you that most women in polygamist relationships are almost always victims to some degree... as are Bill's wives. you think Bill's wives are "victims"? in what way? yes, Barb had to sacrifice her monogamous marriage and LDS faith to live the principle with Bill, but it doesn't seem that she was "forced" to do so ... she has been able to go to school, be a businesswoman with the casino venture, has a nice home, great children ... don't see her as a "victim" ... Nikki: well, for SURE her life is better than if she had stayed on the compound, no? Margene: just how was SHE going to end up coming from her background? i think all families have their "dysfunction" ... this one is just "magnified" because there are more of them ... personally, i could never practice polygamy, but, for people who believe in "the principle," and are old enough to consent to do so, i don't see anything wrong with it ...

I think Bill and the family will end up at Juniper Creek serving as regents for the future prophet Wayne Grant Hendrickson!
Wayne and Raymond (the heir and the spare) are the only people who can bring together the two factions of JP, the supporters of Orville Hendrickson and the supporters of Roman Grant.

I've always thought that Bill would end up the prophet, that it's his destiny...but for it to be his son/s with Nicki...that's an interesting twist. I like it!

I totally agree w/your reasoning, albeit humerous & kiddin' on a square. Wayne & Raymond absolutely being the heir & the spare, luv it, could certainly bring all of the Henrickson's & Grant's together for a righteous family cause!

I would love to see her and Adaleen working on the same side to put Wayne on the throne.

Together they would have JC shaped up in no time. Truly would be a force not to be reckoned with.

It is looking more and more like Bill and family running the compound is probably what will happen, though I have to say that, if so, Nicki pretty much ends up getting everything she ever wanted (legal marriage and Bill as the next Prophet), and that would seem awfully unfair considering her personality and treatment of her family lately!

I want them all to end up back on the compound. I've always felt that Bill would end up back in his rightful place as the prophet.
And interesting theory on Wayne being next in line to the 'throne'. This would help Nikki gain her 'rightful place in the family' as well, as the mother to the prophet's heir. I can't really see Ben wanting to do that.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they are all together on the compound, and that Bill legally remarries Barb, and that Nikki's rightful place is gained by Wayne becoming the prophet's heir.

This would certainly keep Nicki living in a big house @ the compound for a while, ha~like Adaleen always wanted, like Mother; like daughter (again).
