Margene was inviting her mother over to watch a video her while the kids were napping. She's still living in the trailer park where Margene lived with her before she left home? So, she eventually leaves town without ever seeing Margene and her two babies in their new home?

So, she eventually leaves town without ever seeing Margene and her two babies in their new home? Actually, that does sound like something that Margene's mother would do. I got the distinct impression that Ginger was not a very thoughtful, involved mother and that if her current boyfriend said, "Let's move to Vegas!" she'd be in the car in 5 minutes.

I think that's why Ginger told Margene to go after Bill. It got Margene out of her hair so she could do what she wanted to.

I think that's why Ginger told Margene to go after Bill. It got Margene out of her hair so she could do what she wanted to. I agree. Plus Ginger was able to rationalize it to herself by saying that Margene had made a "good match" by marrying an older, wealthy man. Remember, she did not know about the plural marriage until she came to visit.

Thank you, friends. That's why you two are Gods in BLC! Excellent thinking skills, great at putting the puzzle pieces together. I had forgotten the phone call scene. When Ginger shows up later in the show for the visit, I thought that was the first time she had been referenced at all, so I was a little puzzled when Margene insisted later that she had her mother's permission to marry. Watching from the beginning all over again is great. Like seeing a tapestry woven when you know what it will look like finished.
