Bill died in the great tradition of leaders who don't live to see their vision realized. He showed the world the vision and goal -- polygamy out of the shadows and accepted in the world as an expression of free choice.
Like Moses, Martin Luther King, and Joseph Smith, he pointed the way to others but did not live to see the end of the journey.
In the scene in the church Bill said "You know the rules here. No one holds the keys. We're just here until a true prophet comes to lead us." And at that exact moment Barb came in the door and Bill saw her.

I agree, I feel like Barb was meant to be the prophet in Bills eyes when he saw her at his church.

The way this scene played out was excellent, imo. After Bill experienced his vision while standing at the pulpit, viewing everyone there & then seeing Emma in the back nodding her head yes & a grin on her face must have been the moment he realized that his thoughts about Barb's PH had changed.
Then in Bill's last moments on Earth, as Bill ask Barb for a blessing, his words confirmed his revelation/vision as being true. I'm glad Bill had the chance to speak to Ben & Don regarding this.
He didn't live to see his vision play out, but he was able to experience it firsthand, by his Barb. That speaks volumes as to seeing his vision coming true, during his last moments on Earth.
