There was a mention by the wrtiers in an article I read about future episodes / seasons dealing more with the teens on the show Teeny / ben / cara lyn. Anyone else read that or remember where? I don't have the link, but I believe it was in an interview with the writers regarding Season 5. We'll see more about the teen-age characters evolving next season. As far as what my biggest beef is with the writers....I just don't like the whole "Bill running for senate" storyline. I was really looking forward to this season, and seeing what was going to happen with the church Bill established in last season's finale. I think it would have been a lot more interesting to have developed a storyline surrounding Bill becoming a self-pronounced prophet of a modern polygamous sect that rivaled Juniper Creek. The only plus I have enjoyed about the senate storyline is Sissy Spacek coming on board. She is one of my favorite actresses.

It seems to me that they're just trying to do too much. Too many storylines, too many people. Maybe it's the idea that everything should be in little bites - Youtube, Twitter - everything's fast and surface-level instead of going into depth as they did the first season.
Like the thing with Frank, Lois and Jodean. Instead of finishing it in one episode, we got a minute in the car, thrown in with everything else. (Though I liked Jodean telling Frank to throw his shells out the window - at least she feels she can talk back to him a tiny bit.)

I agree they're trying to fit in way too many storylines this season...it all feels so rushed. And didn't I read someplace here that we're only getting 9 episodes this season? maybe that's why they're rushing things. I was thinking about giving up on the show after I watched the first couple episodes, but now I want to see what Adaleen has up her sleeve. I could care less what Ana is doing back or whether Bill gets elected or what they have planned for Sissy Spacek's character (is she even necessary? ?) OK, I'll stop my ranting and hang around to see what happens

I wonder if they thought this would be the last season and tried to wrap up some or all of the old storylines. I've seen that with several other shows. That's the only explanation I can think of.
