Did Alby buy HomePlus from Bill and Don or just the building? Why was Bill going to the UEB about it?
I didn't understand what was going on with that. I did love the way Don told Bill off again. Bill said something about wanting to take Alby down and Don said it was a war with the Hendersons and the Grants and he wanted no part of it.

Bill said something about wanting to take Alby down and Don said it was a war with the Hendersons and the Grants and he wanted no part of it. Alby bought the building that HomePlus is located in and then raised the rent 25%. Bill went to the UEB because Alby is not supposed to have complete control of the UEB money. Bill thought he had enough influence on the UEB board that Alby could not pull something like this; at least not without him knowing beforehand.

Bill said something about wanting to take Alby down and Don said it was a war with the Hendersons and the Grants and he wanted no part of it. The way I understand this is that Alby purchased the building with UEB funds. Bill now pays rent to Alby and must depend on him to provide any necessary repairs. What I'm fuzzy on is why Bill thinks Alby misappropriated UEB funds when it looks like a valid investment to me.

It had to do with the fact that Alby paid above market price to get the land. Not exactly being a wise financial steward.
Bill just needs to break down and tell the UEB about Alby's "proclivities" and be done with it.
I am glad that Don stood up to Bill again and told him that he wasn't going to get in the middle of a personal cat fight between Bill and Alby.

I agree, firstwife. Good for Don. It would behoove Bill to listen to him once and a while. Bill's actions already threatened Don's life. Don was right when he said that they needed to cut their losses and get out.

Thanks for explaining it. The first scenes seemed to go so fast, I had trouble keeping up. Although, I'm not complaining, I like the way it moved from one important development to the next.

Security is for the most part prejudice. In the long run, avoiding danger is not safer than going towards it. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
