That is a good point Withay. They kinda painted her out to be a little pervert and then she just disappeared after that.
If it were my daughter, Im not sure I'd want her acting that part out either.

As for Jolean Wejbe, this recent photo illustrates the problem they had: www.zap2it.com/media/photo/2008-09/42175014.jpg -she definitely grew up faster than the character. I think the producers may have used this opportunity to make the character a bit edgier and I think that Bella Thorne is a great choice as the new Teeny. So far I like the way the season and Bella as Teeny are shaping up.

I can see why the actress might need to be replaced if she was growing too fast for her character, but I'm not sure I like her replacement. I found the previous actress to be much more believable as a little girl in a confusing family situation. She had sort of a sweetness to her. So far, this actress plays Teenie as being more of a brat. Perhaps this is a nod to be age (around 11 or 12 ish, which is a difficult age) but I think it's too much of a change.

I agree with LadyKC. I'm not a fan of this new Teeny, she's far too bratty and not much else, in my opinion. Before I got the impression that Teeny was a bit more independent and about doing her own thing (like that dance group she was a part of at the end of season one or two), which I liked. If they coupled that with a bit of a religious extremism, I think it would've been neat and different. Instead, she's just a brat.

The last actress was a convincing awkward preteen. She played Teeny as being spunky and independent but not a brat. This Teeny seems a little too smug, and I don't get a convincing sense of vulnerability. It's a very, very vulnerable age.

I agree that kids often don't act vulnerable when they are, but I think a good actor/actress can give a sense of what's behind the tough act.
However, I'm willing to wait and see where this actress goes with this part...I might warm up to her!

She does seem quite a bit older. I thought it was very odd camera work to pan up on her legs during the scene when Ben was floating in the pool. I just thought it was an odd thing to do with a little girl. When they were panning up, I thought it was Margie but then it was Teeny.
Did anyone else notice that?

I honestly think the old Teeny was a brat too. Maybe she was sweeter, but her character was also younger. I think Bella is doing a good job, we still barely have seen her and I think I probably will reserve judgment for a while longer, personally.
I will be interested to find out more details about her time away, especially if the porn magazine incident is what led to it.

Maybe there is a jealousy going on between Teenie and Benny...Maybe she has a crush on her own brother!

I see some very interesting possible plot lines developing for Teenie. First, since her absence at "camp" Teenie seems to have developed religious attitudes more in keeping with the LDS Church (e.g., expressing sadness that Sarah didn't marry in a Temple) than with her family's independent practice of the principle. It makes sense that Teenie's camp was run by the LDS Church (indeed, it is certainly in keeping with Barb's character to want Teenie to attend a camp run by the LDS Church). There's also the possibility that Barb's family has been having some influence over Teenie (remember the plot line in which Barb's kids started spending time with Barb's family, including participating in LDS Church activities). It will be interesting to see if Teenie starts to rebel against her family's practice of the principle in favor of more conventional LDS beliefs. Perhaps Teenie's tattling about Ben and Margene was an attempt by her to get Margene out of the picture (with Nikki the next target), so that Bill and Barb might go back to being a traditional LDS married couple?
Another possible plot line for Teenie involves her coming of age sexually. It seems that the reason why she was sent to camp was because of the incident in which she charged neighborhood kids money to look at porno magazines. And in the last episode her coming of age sexually was strongly suggested by the scene of her in the bikini at the pool. And let's not forget her inexplicable comment to Ben at the pool about something involving "taking off women's clothes" at the camp. One interesting way this might all develop is for Teenie to experience conflict as her interest in sex is repressed (on the surface) by her new-found traditional LDS thinking, but for her to continue to clandestinely explore her interest in sex through the kind of illicit behavior that we have already seen from her in the charging-kids-to-look-at-porno incident.

I think Teeny was replaced with a new actress due to the writer's strike. The original actress playing Teeny became too old looking to play Teeny. I would be nice to see Teeny have a good story line. Ben and Sarah seem really close. I would have liked to have seen Sarah's reactions to Ben and Margene's kiss. Teeny's behavior is more thank likely due to trying to get her mom and dad's attention. Being a child in that family has to be difficult!

There's something I don't understand. Isn't the baptism supposed to be at 8? And teeny was baptised in the first season, right? Well, she can't be much older, there were six weeks between season 1 and 2. Then I don't remember how long it was between 2 and 3, but not more than a year. And finally, 6 weeks between seasons 3 and 4. Ok, if I'm doing the math correctly that would put Teeny's age at 9 or 10, right?
BTW, how old is Wayne supposed to be?

LOL they have the ages all messed up apparantly. I guess the writers figure it doesn't matter as much as the main cast.
