Just wondering if i'm the only one ? I have pretty much been anxious for true blood to start since bIg love ended .... i need a weekly series, ok? lol and i filled a little space in-between with the new show "parenthood" on network, but it's just not the same. Now the time is almost here - new season starts June 13th!  anyone else excited? oooh, and entourage starts soon after... another plus  |

Another TrueBlood fan here.
I'm looking forward to the new series. I'm currently reading the books, I've read the first 6 all this month. I like the books but I like the TV series better, mainly because my favourite characters in the TV show aren't in the books.

Another TrueBlood fan. I read all the books the first year and have read the one issued since then. There is a lot of difference between the books and the show though so you don't have to worry about the books ruining the suspense. I think most of the same characters are in both the books and show but different characters (other than Sookie, Bill, Eric, Jason, and Sam) are focused on. Some important characters in the book barely have a walk on on the show and vice versa. It keeps it interesting, at least to me!

Yeah, I've noticed the differences, they're both good but in different ways. I watched all three seasons a just a couple months back. One of my favourite characters in the show is Jessica. I love her and Hoyts relationship. I think it's sweet and funny.

Jessica...I don't remember her in the books, if she was in them at all. Does anyone know when True Blood will be back? . |

Lafayette is another example of an interesting character in the show who isn't really in the books. After reading the books the season one cliffhanger made so much more sense. Jessica isn't in the books, well not the six I've read and I doubt she'll show up. Making Jessica was Bill's punishment for killing Long Shadow and in the books Eric killed him and he seems to have just been fined or something equally unexciting.
I'm looking forward to the show coming back on. I have no idea when that will be but I assume it'll be around the same time it has come back on previous year which was around June right? I think it'll be an interesting season...they say the season of the witches...I wonder if Lafayette's boyfriend will be a good witch or a bad witch.

you could be right. I have no idea when it's actually aired on the TV before. I only watched the whole series for the first time in September after it had all aired.
