I just noticed it when I rewatched.
When he called up the wives, he said Nicolette Grant, mother of two boys and one daughter. I stopped for a second because Bill and Nicki have only two boys. He added in CaraLynn.
I thought it was nice how he has accepted CaraLynn 100% into the family.
Other people might skip over her because Bill is not the father...but Bill has been very good in this regard.
Bill knows how much Nicki loves CaraLynn and he tries to make CaraLynn feel welcome in her new family.

Interesting to me, when he was talking about the kids he said that Nikki was the mother two sons and a beautiful daughter, Marge was the mother of two sons and a precious daughter and yet Barb was the mother of OUR oldest children. Just bad writing or a sign of things to come?

I don't remember Margene's call up, but for Nicki I think he said "our two sons and a beautiful daughter" -- I thought it was a nice way of including Cara Lynn, but not taking privileges that weren't his to take yet. Still, I think he does love her and accepts her.
He said it when they were walking up to the stage, not right in the intro, and I wonder if Barb's hesitation got him off his format. Of course it IS the writers, LOL, but I tend to forget that in the heat of the moment.

I noticed that too! I thought it was nice that he thought to include Cara Lynn, even though he could've forgotten all about her.
I think it's also a possible sign from the writers that Cara Lynn is going to be playing a much bigger roll next season. Possibly even become a character that Bill simply can't forget?
I also think it would be nice to see how Bill interacts with her in comparison to his biological children. It's a good opportunity to show just how much biology matters to Bill.
