so is nicki going to be bill's public wife as far as the senate campaign goes? why would they do that? I mean they're not "legally" married right? and if so, then why did she tell sissy spacek that she worked for him?
I'm so confused byt this whole senate thing... but here's just one ,ore point on which i find myself lost.

I was wondering the same thing. I think this senate thing is just setting Bill up for humiliation worse than Barbs at the parent teacher nite.

Nicki seems an odd choice for public wife, as they're not legally married. She's also essentially from another culture and, I predict, is going to say something really embarrassing at some point. Also, though I do like Cara Lynn, walking around town with a teenage girl dressed in prairie garb is not going to further Bill's cause.

The only way I will enjoy this senate thing is if it blows up in bills face in some way...Either by all his wives leaving him out of fear...Or him being exposed for the idiot he really is...Or something!
If he succeeds, and gets in there and makes all these changes in favor of polygamy that is going to be a little too unrealistic for this kind of a show. This isn't science fiction.

This "Mr. Hendrickson Goes to Washington" crap needs to stop.
IMO this push for the Senate will end soon. Bill will realize that he should be the Profit and not a backstabby-son-of-a-B politician, but not before Joey's murdering of Roman, or his multi-wife situation blows it up.
I was under the impression that Bill would have this vision and be on his way to becoming Juniper Creek's Profit this season. I know I heard that somewhere. Did anyone else get that misdirect?

That would be too easy! The show would be over then! I don't think the Senate thing will pan out but it will create a lot of strife in the family (already has) and his absence will cause heartache with his family at home. Ou the drama.

I think Bill is going to meet another woman on this whole senate escapade and have another affair... Then he's going to think she's meant to be the 4th wife that "heavenly father" testified to him about when he thought it was Anna...And he is going to tell her about the religion...Tell her he is a polygamist and try and get her to date the family... THEN his cover will be blown and he'll be made an ass out of publically. All of his wives are going to run because they don't want to suffer death by association... Anyway that is my speculation only.

That's exacty what I was thinking ladykc! It's just one more thing that doesnt make sense to me as far as Bill's political drama.
But if Nicki isnt suppose to be his public-wife on the senate front , then why did she go to DC with him? why were they making such a big deal out of it being their timeto be "publicly together" etc. Hell, he even said "wait that's my wife" when she was getting cuffed. Then Nicki intros herself as "working for bill".... not necessarily in that order, but still i'm lost.
Somethign has got to give soon to bring this senate thing to a halt. I mean to have a show that otherwise is plausible as reality, and then throw in somethign so insanely impossible... it's ruining the flow of things for me.

Yeah whatever happened to Home Plus? Roman can't get his hands on Bill's money anymore...You think he'd be thrilled!

I think it has to be barb...that's who it's been forever. Taking Nikki to DC was an odd choice. He had to know people might meet her, so how would he explain that. At least Nikki had the sense to say she worked for bill and wasn't his wife (when talking in the bathroom)

At least Nikki had the sense to say she worked for bill and wasn't his wife (when talking in the bathroom) I'm not sure, but I don't think that Nikki was ever supposed to be the "public senate wife," but that this trip was the last time they could hang out together in public without fear. This is DC, where nobody knows them, so there really are no questions to answer. Just my thoughts, maybe I missed something? The irony of poor Nikki who apologizes and feels bad for the whole "incident" towards the end when she is nearly entirely responsible for that meetup Bill finally got (after what- 3 tries?) was almost too much for me. ;D I think Bill yelling out that Nikki was his wife during the gun incident was a mistake, and might well be one of the things that bites him in the rear for the senate run.
