Sarah graduated from high school last season and it is now 6 weeks later. Ben is younger than Sarah but only by a year . I believe Ben is a senior in high school this year. Which would make him 17 to 18. FYI: Gennifer Godwin said that Margene was going to do something this season that she argued with the writers about. She did not think it was something her character would do. I am hoping it was only a kiss!

Here's somthing that I havent seen brought up as a possibility yet. Do you thnk it's possible Ben will reject margene?
When I rewatched the episode, and the kiss in particular, I noticed something i hadnt the 1st time. (probably b/c i was too busy falling out of my seat! lol) When margene kissed Ben he didnt seem to kiss her back. In fact he didnt seem to embrace the kiss at all. His body language didnt exactly scream " yuk!" but it didnt seem he was feeling th moment in the same way she was either. Then, in the previews for the next episode we hear been say both " I've had to grow up, why not you?" and also " I'm sorry margene".
Do you think it's possible that in the midst of the choas she's going to face over kissing him in the first place she'll decide it wasnt just a "fleeting moment" and that maybe there's something more there? and if so, maybe Ben (who's got over his crush and "grown up") will reject her?

I think that's a distinct possibility. I'm kind of torn as to whether or not I would like to see Margene and Ben get together. I kind of like their chemistry, but the whole situation would be a bit creepy, since Margene has three kids by Bill. I think that Margene needs to leave Bill, take the kids, and pocket the money she is making. I definitely hope she doesn't cave to dumping all of her money in the "family pot". I don't think she will.

season 2, when Barb is concerned that Margene's relationship with Ben is "inappropriate," Margene says "I know there is only 5 years difference in our ages."
The significance of the kiss is not what it means for the future of Margene and Ben, but what it reveals about Margene's character. This is the same person who jumped in the swimming pool when Teeny was being baptized, who demands that Bill come home everytime he leaves with another wife, who cried and sulked when she and Bill were nearly outed at the convention and Barb had to come to Bill's rescue. She has a personality disorder that keeps her attention only on herself and her immediate urges. She has no impulse control. It's not about her age or maturity, it's about a character trait that gets her every time. Her mother was a drunk. Margene is a dry drunk.

On a side note - check out margene's blog. lol I know, I know, ... it's super cheesy for a fake character to have a "blog" lol I checked it out at some point and just coudnt get with people addressing margene as if she were real. lol BUT i thought after this weeks episode her blog might actually be interesting. Given the assumption that the show's writers (or atleast one of them) are actually writing the blog on behalf of "margene"... after reading it , i think it may hold some fuzzy clue as to where this storylilne is going. here's the link: www.margenes-blog.com/margenes-blog/2010/1/24/i-messed-up.html Thanks for the heads up about the blog! It's nice to get some insight into what Margene is thinking about the whole thing. Side Note: I read some of the comments, and I'm fairly certain that the writers are writing some comments there as well. For example, read DaisyDay's comment. It's pretty funny, in my opinion.

In the previews it looked as if Margie was in a sexy robe, when Ben was saying "I'm sorry Margene"...
I wonder if she comes on to him for sex and he turns her down?
