I have been annoyed at far too many storylines and huge plot twists and convoluted moves that sometimes seemed way out of character this season. I have to give credit where its due though. The writers have played the Tommy/Barb connection like masters. Deft touch. Everything else in the season has been so heavy-handed, but there has been nothing at all overt about their interaction. Part of it is the writing and I'm sure part is the actors, but I have to say thank you for this. Even the brief hug between them was in no way passionate, but more friendly comfort. It could just as easily have been a female friend. I was afraid they would have Barb "fall into" some involvement with this sweet hunky guy- and boy howdy he is THAT! But it would have been so out of character. It seems like its the one story line that they've under-written. Thank goodness for that!

It ain't over till it's over! Just saying. She was trying to contact him at the end. Perhaps this will carry on to next season...

I wouldn't erase the thought of a possible Barb and Tommy affair just yet.

I expect that its not over till they take a roll, or close. I'm just glad they're going about it slowly, and not being so overt with everything else so in your face, you know?

I think you hit the nail on the head gypzymom when you said they are going about it slowly. I totally agree. They may very well end up having an affair, but to do so quickly would be wrong for Barb's personality.
I am still trying to come to grips with her telling the TV station about Ana. I mean I was so happy someone tried to do something to stop what was coming, but that just did not seem like her character as we have come to know her in past seasons. This season everthing went out the window....

They have handled Tommy and Barb's relationship perfectly. I love all the tension in the air whenever they have a scene together. They don't even kiss or anything and their scenes are far hotter than any of the sex scenes Bill has had with his wives or Ana. Hopefully Tommy will be back next season!

So she made a move of desperation and most acts out of desperation are characteristic moves of the person.

I agree it was an act of desperation with her. I do know that desperation will make you do things that are typically not in you.
I was just having a hard time with it because it wasn't normally her, but secretly glad she did it at the same time.
