Is there anybody else who thinks that Melinda's illness is perpetrated by JJ so he can "play Doctor"? I don't remember her illness even being mentioned, and then all of a sudden there she is in a wheelchair with a bad wig. How many wives does JJ have anyway? and what did he leave kansas for? Not until 2 seconds ago did I even consider it. Now, there is no other possible explanation. JJ gave his wife cancer? Did he do it so that he could cure her? Was it an accident? Did JJ implant Wanda's embryo in Nicki so that Cara Lynn is both their daughters? That is pretty advanced science for somebody who probably doesn't believe in evolution... Assuming you just make the most ruthless, evil and insane person prophet... We have a prophet. All Hail JJ! Now I have to deal with this in my head all day.

I think all of you are right when stating that the precious thing JJ has of Wanda's are her eggs. Also, I think that everyone is right about JJ's son inseminating Adaleen.
Why and how would JJ have Wanda's eggs? Why would Wanda say "you said that you would ever do this again" when JJ was loading that stuff up on the truck. Would JJ want to have children that were from his sperm and Wanda's eggs? What would be the purpose of that? I think that it is clear that JJ has done horrible things to Wanda ranging to sexual abuse and maybe electro shock treatment. I think JJ did something that damaged Wanda's brain not to mention her soul. Doesn't JJ have to go back to Kansas?
HelloKitty, maybe Melinda doesn't even have cancer. JJ is making her sick with some type of poison. Yes, I think you are right that some how JJ is perpetuating or even causing Melinda's illness.
I wish that Wanda would tell Joey whatever is going on with JJ. Frankly, I am shocked that Wanda hasn't poisoned JJ yet.
On a side note, I read that JJ replaced Roman as the villain. I enjoyed Roman has the villain more than JJ. I found Roman entertaining. I find nothing entertaining about JJ.

You know, I believe that he has Wanda's eggs that have been fertilized with his sperm. If this is the case, this show will have seriously jumped the shark. That baby would not survive as it is too inbred.

You know, I believe that he has Wanda's eggs that have been fertilized with his sperm. If this is the case, this show will have seriously jumped the shark. That baby would not survive as it is too inbred. Wouldn't neccessarily 'not survive' but would be a lot more likely to have some serious recessive gene disorder cropping up, which could be fatal. But the ancient Egyptians and even some European royal families married their siblings (and then their children married their siblings, or aunts/uncles etc) they did this for quite a few generations before the pedigree came to an end because they were so genetically screwed up their children ended up completely insane, incapacitated or infertile in some way. I do think this is what the writers are driving at and its getting very Frankenstein-esque, reminds me too much of college...

Holy crap trixie! I had never even thought of that, but the possibility... even as completely bizarre as that would be - seems to fit. Wow... and wouldnt that fit with the whole inbreeding thing? I mean the real life "kingston clan" people have mentioned (from what I have read) beleived that in "keeping it in the family" they were cultivating superior boodines & it was a way for their leader to further control his family. I could defnitely see this being the case with JJ... he's the product of incest, as is wanda... wow. I think you may have hit the nail on the head . And i am not sure if it was the Kingston family or another ...But there was one family that was artificially inseminating the daughters with the father's sperm and arguing that it was not incest because intercourse did not occur! It was indeed the Kingstons; and this was recently; I believe they were looking to change the definition of incest in Utah due to this because there was a loophole that said exactly as above; to be incest and for the child to be considered of incest; actual intercourse between the two parties had to have occured. Not sure what happened there.

Wow, you guys are sharp. Wanda's eggs - never thought of that.
I'm wondering now if what he has is fertilized embryos - his and Wanda's. If Wanda couldn't carry JJ's children to term (I wonder why??!!), he would think it was her fault, and save them for a woman who has a proven record of bearing children.
Yuck. Think I'll go take a shower.

I'm starting to think JJ has Nikki's eggs. Just wondering, what would make you think that? I'm interested to know.

I'm starting to think JJ has Nikki's eggs. Just wondering, what would make you think that? I'm interested to know. Well... Nikki's eggs are seemingly depleted at a young age... We already have heard Wanda mention several times over the last couple of seasons that JJ is obsessed with Nikki and still in love with her etc. Now I realize it does seem like JJ might have Wanda's eggs, because he has something "special" of hers... But at the same time, he could have Nikki's eggs... Maybe Nikki has kids all over the place and she doesn't even know it? Also the relationship between JJ and Caralyn was disturbing. He has an unusual affection for her. Maybe a motivation in wanting more children with Nikki. I bet Nikki ends up pregnant with a baby that is hers and JJ's through JJ's son the good doc, rather than them being Wanda's eggs. Wanda probably knows about it and is sworn to secrecy. It is just an idea. Im definitely not certain of anything.

Something to think about: why hasn't Wanda had anymore children with Joey?
Also, I have always thought that for a Juniper Creek woman, she seemed kind of old to be married for the first time and just having her first child. Where was she before Joey? Maybe this will all finally be explained.

Ouuu I can see this as being what is going on, and why Wanda is so appalled and upset. Man this part of the storyline just gets better and better.

I also wondered why Wanda would be so upset...
What we do know is Wanda and Nikki are VERY close. Wanda has always been very protective of Nikki where JJ is concerned... When he came to the door last season the first thing she said to him was "Nikki doesn't want to see you". She didn't even know WHY he was there, and she blurted that out.
So maybe she just realizes how sick he is.
Again, I'm not certain.. It is just an idea.
Just seems conveinent that in the same episode as Adalene winds up prego, Nikki is told she's depleted of eggs and JJ's son the good obgyn doc shows up... You know what I mean?

Yep, I agree. Sounds like Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy -- making someone sick so you can "take care of" them. Pretty exotic mental illness...
