Man! Bill looked shocked! I was shocked Joey admitted it though! I was angry at Joey! I don't really know why but, I soooo wanted him to keep that to himself a little bit longer!! I guess he figured Bill would find out sooner or later. Now this means that JJ's blackmail plan may not have as much power.

True , but it's not as if he anounced it to the world - he told his brother, who has backed him before.
I was yelling four letter words at the tv during the whole scene when Joey comes to the compound as they're leaving... that was intense.

It was intense and then it had a horrible ending. The writers had a chance to make that a really good scene. I felt a lot of emotion when Joey ran up yelling for Hollis. In my opinion it went to pot after Bill's mom cut off Hollis' arm. The writers wrapped that up easily didn't they? Save Hollis or kill Bill's family - which shall it be? Come on. There were enough people there to take care of both. That was too easy.

There were enough people there to take care of both. That was too easy. Yeah, I thought that too...how many people would it take to get Hollis to the hospital? Seemed like there were plenty left to lock up the Henrickson clan. But...as a writer, I know that sometimes you write yourself into a corner and have to use a little artistic license =) Not totally implausible that Selma was so overwhelmed and horrified at the thought of her beloved Hollis dying on the ground in front of her that she was swayed by Bill's suggestion that she couldn't do both. Joey has taken on this vigilante, avenging angel role. Not realistic, and you can't just take the law into your own hands in real life. However, men like Roman Grant and Hollis Greene are so far above the law, so insulated and protected from being punished for their crimes. Roman won in court, Bill couldn't get the cops in Mexico (or was that the embassy?) to do anything against the Greenes, even though he knew his family was there and would probably die. If Joey doesn't take these bad guys out, who will? Just sayin'... LOL

Selma losing it and going along with Bill's plan reminded me of the time they had barb's niece hostage - when selma thought hollis was paying the little girl too much attention (and that she was losing him) she fell apart and just went along with what bill / roman told her to do. It;s almost like (in both instances) she reverted to some child like state in which she was completely lost without hollis / when feeling she might lose him.
That was the only way I was able to accept the scenario this time... thinking back to that, considering she's nuts & incredibly attached to hollis.

Selma does seem to revert to some childlike state. Roman was aware of it so he was able to manipulate her into cooperating. Same thing with Wanda and her parents. There must be some kind of mind control these psychos play on people at these compounds.

selma is a sandwitch short of a picnic and easily manipulated. hollis is none to bright either, just more violent and bossy. i assume many others there were not too bright either- much fewer people there than at JC, and most seemed to be family of Hollis. The cake said welcome back mom (for selma) and when Hollis's arm got lopped off someone yelled out 'save dad'. So the offspring of those two aren't likely to be too smart, and be VERY used to taking instructions. I think Bill spoke to selma very sweetly, which makes me think he knows and has some understanding of her and how to manipulate her- and maybe he feels sorry for her? God only knows what Roman and Hollis have done to that (let's call her slow?) woman. I think that Joey told Bill is significant. A- it shows that Joey was fiercely angry and is still angry. and B- now Bill knows, and can help protect him from the consequences (and hopefully, from JJ!)
