I have to say I really did not see that coming! I had considered alby offing himself due to his "ghost of roman" concience at some point... but not Dale.
I also did not anticipate Laura reacting the way she did, and basically being the root of it all.
so what happens to alby now?

I am still kind of pissed at Alby for what happened with Cara Lynn. I imagine Nicki is feeling likewise. But as Bill noted last year, Nicki never stops loving.
But putting the Cara Lynn issue aside, Dale and Alby were lovely together. It was like an island of love for them both.
I hope it doesn't get too dark for Alby (my husband's reaction was, "Isn't he the guy that tried to blow up his parents in the season finale? How is it going to get darker?"

I wonder if alby is going to become more destructive of those around him, or if he'll simply self destruct ?
I really felt bad for dale and his struggle this ep but i really thought he was begining to see that he couldnt change who he was and accept it... i didnt think that would throwhim over the edge. I think it was that on top of being outed to his family though... sad.

Alby is either going to go completely batshit crazy and be even more destructive than he was in the past, or he will get his shit together and not let Dale's death be in vain, perhaps fighting the church on their stance on homosexuality.
Unfortunately due to Alby's upbringing and how damaged he was before Dale came into his life, I think he will most likely become more destructive to others around him and to himself. My heart really broke for Alby during this episode.

I really can't imagine Alby offing himself, because he's so self centered. But then again, stranger things have happened I suppose!
I'm not really surprised by Lura's response to Alby's bisexual habits. I think she probably expected it; but couldn't come to terms with it until she waited & watched for herself. (Sometimes actions speak louder than words). Remember Alby telling Bill @ the dinner table that he married Lura for love. I'm sure Lura feels betrayed.
It'll be interesting to see how Alby deals with the suicide of Dale.

I think Alby better watch his back around Lura - and vice versa! Nicki told Alby that Lura was spreading "information," so he knows how this was forced.

Since their only official relationship is because of the UEB audit, how is Alby going to explain how/why he is the one who discovered Dale's body in a "vacant" apartment?
Or will Alby take the body somewhere else to be found by the police?
Talk about unintended consequences - how will Lura feel when she realizes that outing Dale to his family caused this? She's a cold fish, but even she must feel some guilt for this. And what about those men who were supposedly "counseling" Dale? They made it very clear that there is no tolerance for gays within the church. I wonder what they'll think when the hear the news?

I cried when I saw that scene at the end; overall this series has been incredibly emotionally fraught and tonights episode was just horrible.

I was so shocked when I saw Dale hanging there. I'm still not sure what to think. I am pretty sure that Alby is going to go nutso, or more nutso.

Alby truly loved Dale -- as much as Alby is capable of loving another person. After all, he was being loving with Nicki on the phone, knowing that he was going to seal her daughter to a creepy old man. But he told Nicki that Dale was his destiny, and now Dale is gone. And Alby knows that Lura knew what was going on and spread information -- I think Alby will blame Lura for Dale's death and it will get really, really ugly.

I think he may kill Lura but make sure he really tortures her beforehand cue more unwatchable scenes. I don't know how but maybe its doing too much on dramatic irony and seeing things coming in English and Drama at school, I knew with the scenes with Dale with the church elders and seeing how torn up he was that something major was going to happen resulting in his or Alby's death (and since Alby is essential; I thought its not going to be him); I actually thought Lura would kill Dale at first; but in that last scene when Alby was coming up to their apartment and leaving a message; then I just knew Dale would have killed himself; and those rafters in the apartment just told me it would be by hanging.

As Albie was opening the door, I turned to my SIL and said. "he's going to find Dale dead." I hated it for both of them but from discussion with gay former LDSers last year, I knew how dismal it is to be gay and a member of that church. From what I have heard and read, Dale's treatment by the powers that be was typical. Sad, sad, sad and unfortunately true to life.

I don't know if it is because I am pregnant and emotional, but I started to cry when Alby got on the floor and kissed Dale's foot as he hanged there, and cried.
I am not convinced it was a suicide. I will watch again but I didn't notice a stool or anything on the floor under him for him to have stepped off from to hang himself. Lura was also at his wife's house...and lurking the whole time...
I suspect Lura hanged him herself.

Actually, there was an over-turned chair off to the left side of the screen - which indicated that Dale used that as his platform.
I agree with everyone else who says that they either choked-up and/or cried at that scene. I felt so, so, sorry for poor Alby - what a fantastic actor he is, to elicit such powerful emotions from the viewers!
I have, literally, gone from hating Alby (seasons 1 & 2) - to slowly feeling sorry for him (last season), to genuinely caring about him during this season.
That being said, well, payback is a bitch - and Lura has some major payback coming her way!

Yes I agree the actor portraying Alby is amazing! I also have gone from hating him to loving him.
Lura is going to get it though...One way or another! You are correct!
