I think Ben handled himself very tactfully and appropriately with Margene...
Even trying to take the blame.
I thought Ben was an angel.
What do you guys think?

I thought he was very mature & handled it great. Margene should have told Bill from the start though, Ben was more mature than she was. Unbelievable that bill let him go like that...was totally wrong. Bill is no better than Frank now. Frank did the same to him...he's showing his true colors this season, I think.

Ben is becoming such a gentlemen and an upstanding individual; I was proud of him in this episode. The way he was handling the situation seemed to shock Margene though! I think this also led to more of an attraction between them. In the scene when Ben confronts Margene while she is reaching for the Cocoa in the cupboard, I almost thought that Margene was going to fall into his arms and kiss him again! Did anyone else feel that way?

I thought Ben would take responsibility for this....as someone was saying on another board, their culture is so patriarchal that I think he sees himself as more responsible for it than she is! I think this just embedded him that much more deeply in Margene's heart.
I was impressed that Margene did confess at the end of the episode. I wonder where Ben will go? I would think to stay with Sarah.

Ben is the grown up. Bill is the child.

I also thought Ben and Margie were going to fall into another kiss.
Ben is a perfect gentleman and Bill, likle biglovelove mentions...is a CHILD!

The whole "Mr. Margene Heffman" was silly. Margene is quick-thinking - we know that - so why didn't she simply laugh and say, "No - he's not my husband, he's my stepson! And he's a great guy - does anybody know a nice girl for him?" The woman would have wondered for a moment, then decided she's misunderstood what she saw.
But of course, it's TV, and that would spoil the story.

I was so impressed by the maturity Ben showed in this episode & overwhelmed by the basic feeling of him being the only one who seems to have his head on striaght. Given his situation, that's a great feat imo. I really felt about as much love for Ben this episode as I felt hate for Bill. lol
As far as margene being quick witted and yet not correcting the show on the whole "Mr margene heffman" thing - I think there's a simple explantion... she didnt have her wits about her in that moment. She was til inshock by what she had just done.

Yeah, Ben handled himself very well and I really thought Margene and him were going to have hot, age-appropriate sex when he helped her get the hot cocoa. He treats her much better than Bill does (although that certainly comes from the fact that he idolizes her as this unattainable sex object).
It was sad because I thought last season Margie handled the incident with the nakedness and the love letter very well.

She may have handled the love letter well, but I'm sure it's building up on her. Not only is he closer to her age than her own husband, but every time Bill abandons her Ben is there to pick her up. She's probably growing more attracted to him and appreciative of him every day. I think Teenie was right, Margene and Ben are in love <3

Where will it go now? Ben's been thrown off the Henrickson compound. I picture him laying low for awhile and seeing what happens between Bill and Margene.

I see Ben staying with Sara and Scott for a while. I am interested in seeing where they take the Bill-Margene-Ben triangle, though.

Yeah I agree Ben is going to wind up with Scott and Sarah for a while...And perhaps he will kinda snap out of the whole polygamy thing too. It might be good for Benny to live away from the family brood a while.

I think that Ben might end up with his grandmother. He is working for her, after all...helping her with her little bird business. I HOPE that is where he goes. She will raise all kinds of hell with Bill for throwing Ben out.
