We just watched season one, episode 1 and 2. Holy cow, I was shocked at how much foreshadowing there was.
I had totally forgotten that Heather's father was a State Trooper, which is why the Bishop told her father anything. heh she even teases Sarah about 'not turning her family in" .
So much more. Im looking forward to this!

I saw alot of foreshadowing as well.
Does anybody remember in season 2 or 3 when bill first decides to go after juniper creek, his goal was to clear his family's name in the compound bc his grandfather was the rightful profit? During the church scene in the finale all of the compound is there thanking him, I thought that meant he accomplished a goal he set for himself many seasons ago. Just my .02
Also not sure if anybody has said this but it seems like the letter bl was writing right before he goes out to get shot was more of a directive for the new church. He tells ben that he and barb will bs fine and not to worry anymore. I think that means he was plannin on giving women the power of preisthood even before asking barb for a blessing. That to me was just confirmation.
I've been so sad these last couple days! I never wanted bill to die, I wanted him to redeem himself. I think he did redeem himself but him dying was on because they didn't have a 6th season. Btw does anybody know why they didn't do the true last season? Hbo? I read an interview where the writers said they "found out" it was their last season while they were in their writing room

The point of the whole series was for the Family to stay together, to stick it out to the very end on earth before they make it to the after-world and "eternity." Writer's said that they always knew that the Family would stick together. Epilogue showed the women 11 months later, but come on.... they are going to go there seperate ways. Margene is so young, Nikki too.. And Barb, i would hope she would re-marry... Look my point is they will always have each other. (connection in th all the children and thier friendship), but wouldn't have been a stronger message from the writer's to have Bill live and show them all thriving five years down the road. Betheaz: you mention "harmony"... great that is wonderful that they showed the women in harmony, but true-harmony would have been to still be intact as a whole family with Bill alive. Just my opinion, but they should not have killed him off to show that the women progressed with "harmony" in their lives.

Throughout the entire show, Bil was the one thing that tied everyone in the family together. But Bill died and we (and they) discovered that it was the Big Love that they had that kept them together, not Bill. So even if the women do remarry and no longer live together, they will always be a family.

I think when the writers said in their interview (for those of us who watched it and read posts about it) that this is about "Big Love" and how love prevails and families stay together; that we should have known then that Bill dies. Maybe we just didn't want to believe it.
Big Love....I'm almost out of steam talking about it. The women kept it going. God bless them.
