Yes, I'm a basket case. Nonetheless, here are my thoughts on Big Love. www.jewcy.com/arts-and-culture/jews-watching-big-love-the-last-place-you-lookI've gotta comment on what a big help it was being on these boards while writing these columns. I'm not sure if it's the nature of the board, or watches of the show in general, but there's some really smart people who and your thoughts truly informed my writing. However, I'm majorly lost on one issue... What show should I write on next? What's as captivating and intricate as Big Love? If anyone has suggestions, please post! thanks all

Well...Heroes was a crazy obsession for me so I have been through this before. I knew everything about the characters and scenarios that I was considered a fan-girl over it. When it was canceled I felt blah! I started watching True Blood but it was just too ridiculous with the click teeth and the over the top sex crap. I'd say the only things on TV that keep me going would be The New Adventures Of Old Christine and How I Met Your Mother but those are both 1/2 hour sitcoms. Well, House too, but that's already super famous, still worth it though. I'll think about it. Hopefully something will catch your eye. Good luck.

Hi Jon.... Awww, I read your title subject and thought, hey I have got to get to his article to read today. I will read after posting this mesage and to give you credit that you were right!! It was all about the women. The show was about the sister-wives. I really didn't see that at all, but it was and they now have each other to lean on. I cried so much during the show and was still trying to get over it today. I know that is crazy, but the show had such an affect on me and I was so sad to see Bill Henrickson die. When they showed his 'spirit' at the table at the ending shot(s), I was bawling with tears just streaming down my face. I even watched just the ending as had a little time in the afternoon and cried all over again; same amount of tears. I'm glad it's not just me and I see a lot of people who were really affected by this show. Thanks for your articles. Keep on writing and pursuing all of your dreams. ;D

Write on True Blood! Intriguing characters, strong female characters, and very nicely written. Its not Big Love, but I do enjoy it!

Thanks Jon, for posting your articles here for us to read. Hmm, what show to write about next? How about Glee? It has a lot of viewers. I think we're all going to be searching for that "next" show to begin watching! Best of luck to you in your writing!!

thanks so much for the kind words guys, signing up for this board I had no idea what a boon it'd end up being. Yes, I shall take a second to gloat and say that I was right about the show being all about women. Jules kindly linked me an interview with the creators where they say it pretty plainly. I'm so glad you guys enjoyed the articles, now what next. Because it's Jewcy that I write for, I need to be able, from time to time, to have some kind of Jewish angle. For Mad Men it was rather easy, for Big Love it was harder. True Blood was my first thought, it's a decent show but the direction it seems to be heading makes me super-wary. Glee, it's too late, the season is about half over. I kinda hate that show but I still watch it pretty religiously. How I met you mother I used to like but can't really watch it anymore. I did however recently write about a movie written and directed by Josh Radnor (Ted) www.nypress.com/article-22190-bash-compactor-crsmon-get-lshappyrs.htmlBreaking Bad is a possibility, Sons of Anarchy is a really good show I just wonder whether there's really anything to be said about it. It's a great show, but a surface show. -J

I'm sure you'll find that perfect show to write about. Then there's always The Nanny, like a throw back to the 90's. She's Jewish & hilarious!! The modern day Lucille Ball, still loved by many. She's on Nick @ Nite.
