Maybe you should change the subject so people who haven't seen it don't have this spoiled immediately.

Hey gang, one of our members said Carl was going to kill Bill......I cannot remember who said it and on which thread .....GOOD CALL, whoever it was!!I think whoever said that was making a joke but... I had said that I thought the only way the family could stay together would be for Bill to die and the wives and kids stay together. But never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be Carl!

But never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be Carl! I thought Bill would get out the charges in typical Bill fashion and he would be prophet. I guess in a way he ended up being their prophet after all. I wish though in those last moments something could have been said about Wanda and Joey.

No, Carl didn't work for Home Plus -- Pam mentioned several times that Carl couldn't find work and had been looking for a long time.
My husband had told me he thought it would end with Bill being assassinated. I had hoped that wouldn't be how it would end, but I knew he was right, how else could it end with polygamy being against the law? It would have been too ridiculous for Bill's last ditch effort to get polygamy legalized had gone though. We didn't know who would do it though. When Don came in the backyard, I wondered if Don was going to pull a gun -- that would have been messed up though, Don's a good guy. And I wondered briefly if Bill was writing a suicide note, but that didn't seem right either. Carl was the logical choice -- his marriage fell apart, couldn't have kids with his wife, couldn't find a job, tried to be a good Mormon but was being called into "worthiness meetings" to determine if he should have his temple recommend revoked since he couldn't find a job so he couldn't tithe. Why wouldn't any person in his local LDS congregation help him find work? But Carl felt like a total failure, and Bill had THREE wives, tons of kids, a successful business...Carl was the logical choice.

And then when Bill had Carl and Pam's front yard resodded (because the crowds had ruined it) Carl took it as a slight by Bill and cracked.

And after reading your viewpoints I must agree that it was the most logical explanation for someone to kill Bill (now that Alby was out of the picture). I guess I still found it hard to digest because it seemed so random.

I think Carl just went a few french fries short of a happy meal due to the economy, not having a job, all the stress piling up... He just went bananas really... The sod on the lawn was just the straw that broke the camel's back... Bill obviously didn't mean it as an insult to him... But Carl just went all delusional paranoid and Bill was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

No, he didn't work @ HP. Carl was ticked @ Bill for being his neighbor & bringing the family with him to his neighborhood, all that, that implied Ex) Margene introducing Pam to Goji & spending money that they really didn't have. Then when Pam ask Margene to be a surrogate Mother for Pam.
