It is obvious Bill doesn't care about Margene's career at all. If anything...He is a little envious!
First of all...Margie was right. If she said nothing and continued on as normal...Nobody would have cared. It isn't like she's on Perezhilton.com everyday with a love scandal. The isn't that kind of celebrity.
Bill asking her to go on T.V. and fix it only made a huge mess and could only harm her career...Bev is going to shit when she sees that scene! She may fire Margie for it!
If I were Bill and my 3rd wife was going to be on primetime... I'd at least DVR it so I could watch her later. He would have known about the Ben thing all on his own if he gave enough of a shit about her.

Last night had 4- Sarah and her husband talking about their lost child.
Margene's breakdown on camera and at the rally - she needed a good cry. She needs to see a therapist so she can talk about her issues. Bill doesn't talk with her. He talks down to her.
Joey and Wanda's scene in bed when he asks her what she dreams about - Wanda loves Joey so much. She wants just the 3 of them to be happy and off by themselves away from all the stress.

For me it's when Barb is outed at the Mother of the Year gathering, and Nicki and Margie rush home. The way Nicki tore around the house, closing draperies and screaming about the police coming to take them away, the visceral fear and the caged animal look in her eyes as Bill held her and tried to reassure her -- just remembering it makes me wonder why it took so long for Chloe Sevigny to win an award for her portrayal of Nicki Grant.

Barbara when she was devasted that she had been excommunicated and sent to outer darkness, and all the scenes surrounding Kathys death--- Somehow I don't like Margene has much as everybody else on these boards--- I see her as thinking she is sexier, cuter etc--- she isn't Morman in the way the others are-- she used the siutation and joined the Hendricksons to have a family-you never hear her profess to beleive any of it--- also she is now finding herself and has her own business, wants her independence etc-- I am blaiming her if she gets the hell out of there, but I see Margen as very similair to Bill -- Using the premis of a religion to serve your own needs-- at least you do see that Barb & Nikki have beliefs-- I feel worse for them----

Believe it or not, I was really touched by the scene of Lois and Frank sitting on the beach after she asked him to kill her when she started losing more time. Both of them are real characters and Frank has truly treated her horribly but she still loves him and trusts that he will do what she has asked when the time comes.

I have seen the episode where Sarah loses her baby several times, and I always cry. I also like when she tells Ben she is pregnant, and "Forever Young" plays. I also like when Sarah is leaving and they give her the quilt. That Amanda Seyfried is one amazing actress! One other scene that I will always remember is Lois' joy when she was with Ben in Mexico. Her silly "jumbo shrimp" song was just so sweet. It was touching when Frank was truthful about his shortcomings as father and husband when he thought he was going to die. I agree with the poster that this last scene with Frank and Lois on the beach was poignant. Nikki introducing Caralyn and taking communion with the family was pretty emotional too. I do really love this show!

Last weeks scenes with Lois & Frank & the beach and she tells him to kill her if she "goes away" for three days. Also, when they are in the car going home - how he is looking at her & the song, "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" is playing.

I think some emotional scenes were: when lois puts the pills in frank's mouth and goes "i'll be right behind you" that made me tear up.
and when nicki tells cara lynn that she was trying to understand her math and cara lynn goes "you cant start with 12 grade calculus momma." (or something to that extent) the way she said that was so sweet. [even nicki tripped out on that]
and when nicki is in the bedroom with margene and barb with her wedding dress on and cara lynn comes over and says "you look beautiful momma" and nicki starts tearing up.
in the exorcism episode: when margie asks bill if she would be able to visit him, in prison, if she were pregnant with his baby. the whole conversation was emotional. Ginnie Goodwin is a great actress.
any scene where nicki feels like she's a failure as a mother. that's one of the worst things a parent can feel.

For me it was when Barb took Marg by the hand and marched across the street to tell Pam Marg can't have her baby because she is "Married to my husband, she is my sister wife."
I also thought the beach scene with Lois and Frank was right up there with Sarah losing the baby.
Another one was just last night...I thought it was a rare moment Nicki gave Margene when she said, "I'm sorry, I know how much you loved selling that juice." She really looked sincere.

Wow, there are so many.. Barb being escorted out of the building after the mother of the year awards. I think the embarressment just came to a ahead there.
Or Alby when he realized his boyfriend had killed himself, it was well played. For a moment your heart breaks for Alby.
Or Nikki finding herself in the Joy Book. All the scenes with Barb and Tommy.

Frank & Lois @ the beach scene was very touching. But nothing beats the scene where Frank is talking to Lois about their younger days while he holds her and she dies. I'm tearing up just thinking of it.

I could not stand Bill.. seriously, all of the trouble he caused by chasing his dreams while tramping over the lives he created(the kids) and the women who chose to follow him. It bugged me that everything they worked for, the stores, the casino were lost. He really pissed me off. But when he was laying in the street..shot 3 times in the chest dying...with the wives over him, that was the most emotional scene for me because, I didn't hate him. I was hurt by that.

I'm tearing up just thinking of it. Yes, that scene was bitter sweet. It's what Lois wanted & Frank really was tender in the way he was telling Lois stories of their younger days.... it was a tear jerker scene for sure,

There are so many choices.
Nicki driving home in Adalene's Hummer after JJ confronts her about Cara Lynn. Unforgettable scene.
Barb, Nicki, and Margie driving out of town in the Honey Bee, and Margie says "Let's pick up Bill and just keep driving".
Many of the most emotional scenes are out on the road--there's something about the Utah landscape that is intense and provocative--both for the characters and the viewer. Light, shadow, and music are employed in these moments to portray universal themes--emotions all of us can relate to.
For me the emotional climax of the series was probably the communion scene at the end of Season 3. The cast was really on form in that moment, and Chloe Sevigny was at the top of her game.
