I think he will return to the compound. I just don't think it will be with any of his wives. I'm wondering if they are trying to set something up to where Jodeen marries Bill. She is spending a lot of time with Margene. Plus, something Margene said to here keeps resonating in my ear. Jodeen was saying that she felt alone because Kathy was all she had in the world. Margene told her that she never really felt loved or like she belonged until she married the family. Jodeen had a look about her, then. Just makes me wonder.

Maybe Frank finally dies this season and Bill will take Jodean?

I see both Nikki and Margene leaving.
Nikki wants to be wife of the prophet. She will eventually go back to juniper creek and end up with whoever is the new prophet. (I see her going back with J.J. and him being new prophet). She will end up as first wife when his current wife dies of cancer.
Margene will become too comfortable with her new job and the money it brings in, and may also end up hooking up with Benny. Now that her kiss has been seen all over tv, she will be outed, but this will be a way to keep her in the family without exposing her marriage to Bill.
BIll will be elected, but his position will be threatened unless he ends the relationship with both NIkki and Margene. I see the season (and series) ending with him deciding to live a monogamous life with Barb.

Interesting hypothesis, except that Nikki wouldn't be JJ's first wife even if his current wife dies of cancer because JJ has 6 other wives beside. Nikki would be last in line. I could see Nikki leaving the polygamist lifestyle altogether if she doesn't find any purpose in being married to Bill. I definitely couldn't see her remarrying to another poly husband though. Maybe she will stay with Bill, or maybe she will surprise us all and go looking for Ray...

If Frank dies and Bill takes on Jodeen, that will be so gross! Bill will be marrying, essentially, his stepmom. To me, it's like Margene kissing Ben.
I'm not sure I see any of the wives leaving, at least not this season. I think that their relationships will all drastically change, but I can't see any of them leaving for the simple reason that if Nicki and Margene do leave, this will pretty much have to be Big Love's last season, and I read somewhere that they have two more seasons to go.
Also, last episode, it really looked like Nicki was trying to make things right with Bill. She seemed genuinely upset when he couldn't spend a lot of quality time with him, and then came to his rescue when it came to the lady (Sissy's character, I forget the name... was it Meredith?). I was a bit confused by the sudden change in behaviour, but if Nicki thinks that it's Bill's destiny to one day be Prophet, she might hang around till then.

I've said on another thread that I think Nicki may die (the clue of the folded arms and "death pose" in the opening sequence). I think ultimately Margie will leave. She has been protesting Bill's behaviour for two seasons now - "This is not what we DO!"
I think ultimately, when this series comes to an end, Bill and Barb will be a monogamous marriage, as they started.

I dont think Nicki will die (atleast not this season) , but going on your "death pose" theory - maybe she is just meant to look "at peace" without the dead part i mean lol She's realizing , maybe for the first time, that she has choices - even preaching to her mother last ep " you have a choice mama!" and i think that path of revelation is going to lead nicki to a better place. I just dont think that "better place" will be her resting place. I think she's going to come to terms with her past and her present and be at peace with herself ... at some point. Bill has left Margene feeling abandoned, which with a past history of abandonment is about the worst thing he could have done to her. She's going to eb reaching for some security, and though I dont know that in the end it will lead to her leaving Bill - i definitely think she's going to reach to Ben for that and their relationship is goign to go further. (atleast momentarily) I think if anyo f the wives leave though it will be her. I think eventually she's going to come to the realization she can depend on herself and she's going to be done begging bill for love and clinging to them for a sense of family. i dont know that it will happen this season though

I hope at least one of them leaves, Margene or Nikki, but I doubt any of them actually will. Didn't the writers say that at the end of the series the family would be intact? But, just because one leaves now doesn't mean she's "off the show" so to speak. And it doesn't mean she won't come back in a later season.

I agree with you blazdell!
I watch Big Love with several family members. We discussed how Big Love will end. We concluded that Bill will become the Prophet and Nikki will go with Bill. Nikki will be happy because her heart has always been with Juniper Creek, and, Nikki has always believed that Bill is the true Prophet. We think that Barb will embrace being independent (it has been noted that Barb will be greatly influenced by the DC political advisor played by Sissy Spasick and her independence). Barb will more than likely go back to her family and embrace the Church that Barb grew up in. Then there is Margene! We hope that Margene and Ben do end up together! Ben seems as though he will be able to handle the fact that Margene has three children with his father. Margene and Ben have always enjoyed each other and make a really cute couple. Plus, Margene is becoming successful and Ben supports Margene's hopes and dreams. As my family and I discuss Big Love in detail, I have to think "can we be this smart to figure out how Big Love will end?" In my family discussions we do think that Nikki and Bill will be together with Bill as the Prophet, Barb on her own but happy, Margene and Ben together enjoying life.
How do you think Big Love will end? The makers of Big Love say that HBO has a six year series format. The makers of Big Love say that when they started they had Big Love on a five season format. Big Love will run for either five or six seasons. I am hoping for six!

I don't think Bill could become Prophet while being monogamous. Isn't one of the signs that God finds you righteous is that he blesses you with more than one wife? And in this culture, what kind of leader wouldn't be able to handle his wives?
If Bill becomes Prophet with only one wife by his side, I think the writers would've failed.

I think Nikki will be the first one to be out of the mini compound. She doesn't love Bill, and I don't think she loved Ray either, he was just her first crush, like the ones teen girls get. I think she didn't have time to get a crush as a teen and now she understands how powerful that feeling is. She did say she was struggling with her beliefs and she wants to give her daughter a different life, she wants her to have choices.
On the other side, I can see Marge leaving anyday. She can support her kids and she doesn't feel loved by Bill anymore. She said her husband had abandoned her and I think that is just how she really feels. She's having feelings for Ben and I think it's just because she doesn't feel like she has a husband anymore.
And about Barb, well, she's getting to know herself. She's involved in the casino and she is starting to grow. I think annoying Tommy will have a lot to do with her awakening to life. She sees what Bill does and how it has torn apart her nuclear family. Sarah's long gone, even before she was physicly gone, Ben is deeply hurt and leaving right now, and little Teeny is going to be dissapointed when she finds out her father doesn't abide by the church rules anymore. Barb is going to take all of this into account and decide she wants out. She will go home with her son and take little Teeny with her.
