Um, yeah - cuase you basically threw him under the fucking bus bill! ughhh...... Yeah, when I heard that my thought was, "and whose fault is that?"

I hate Bill for how self righteous he is. I'm reminded of him meeting with the FBI woman from (I believe) the first season. She was from Boston and was trying to get Bill to help her get Roman. At one point she says to him, "Never set foot outside of Utah. My grandfather never had six wives so I have no trouble throwing you in jail. You can't just wrap it all up in God and make it ok."
That last sentence is what I keep wanting to scream at him. He will do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. No one can possibly tell him that he is wrong. He will claim to have a "revelation" which really means little more than a fly-by-night idea or a hormonal reaction. He puts his friends and family in danger, he is insulting (think about all that he said to Joey during Blood Atonement), and no one could ever possibly tell him that he is wrong. He thinks he knows everything about everything. Remember when he was trying to get into the part in Washington DC? He kept trying to sweet talk his way in and was saying that he was told to just go right on in. He actually thinks that everyone buys his BS! And what is most appalling is that he seems to get away with it far more times than not.

Ya'll seem to hate Bill for being a politician.
But then what you hate the most is that he has the audacity to actually run for public political office.

I hate the way his eyes bug out and his mouth opens a little and turns down whenever anyone tells him something shocking . . . I know it's a sign of the actor's skill that we all hate him so much, but that facial expression irritates the life outta me for no logical reason!

Where do you get these things, wurks?
Nobody here has said a word about Bill's political career. We hate him for his hypocrisy, for his bullying, for his lies, his arrogance, his condescension towards his wives ...the list goes on. And on.

I hate how he comes up with these superficial solutions for problems instead of ever looking at the REAL issue. I mean, how dense is he? His marriage is falling apart at the seams and his solution is he's going to buy a new house. Seriously? He thinks that's going to work?

where do I begin-- I hate everything about Bill and yet I think the writers want to see he as the protagonist-- I hope the show ends with him in prison

I think Bill is defnitely the protagonist - as much as I enjoy the wives , he's the central character, and (to a point) most of us have rooted for Bill at many points. Maybe not rooted for his agenda but at least for him to "see the light" or the rror of his ways.
I hate how single sighted he is... so focused on his mission of the moment that he's completely blind to the effects of his actions on the ones he's suppose to love.

I hate his face.... does that count hahhhahah!!!! I also hate the way he speaks to women. He uses his "soft" voice... like some how that will make all his crap talk better. I can not stand the way he treats Don. Don is such a sweet man and he has lot EVERYTHING because of bill... a few checks in the mail don't make up for his divorce, job loss, name being dragged through the mud, his children are screwed at school and will probably have long lasting mental and emotional problems.... the list goes on. Poor Don.

I bet if Don had a kitten Bill would have found a way to step on it... for the "greater good" .....

Mar, definition number 6 The compromise of the soul for political gain. I'm not sure if you have to be like Bill to be one, or if being one makes you into a person like Bill. lol To him EVERYTHING is politics. 6. a person who seeks to gain power or advancement within an organization in ways that are generally disapproved.

I totally get the politician thing... even if he isn't running for office he puts out this fake persona to make all the outsiders happy. he doesn't care about family and what not... just power... at home, the home plus business, and with all of the people close to him.

Bill is: selfish, egotistical, greedy, materialistic, controlling, thoughtless, a terrible friend (poor Don) an absentee dad for the most part, never addressed Sarah's misgivings about polygamy, doesn't really care about anyone's opinion but his own, is basically a philanderer (Anna), and married a woman half his age for sex and breeding...is there something to like about Bill?? Yes. He's a good provider apparently. That's about it.
