Not the about the show. But YOU? How did you/family react?
I felt kinda bad that we hated Bill this past season.
I felt really sad that it ended like that.
My husband and I were really silent for the rest of the night.
It was an ending that you really felt deep inside, right? Weird for me because I'm not a fiction person, neither TV or books. I tend to like non fiction.
It was really odd for me to get so involved in a show. My husband too.

I never hated Bill. I feel he was acting out of his true faith and feelings...not some self serving notion.
I was surprized when he died. BUT, I can see how it was a valid choice.
If he had been prosecuted and found guilty, the collective hate would have gelled. ie: SEE I told you he was scum. This way, he died a myrter, but it closed muitple loops.
My guy has only been watching this last season and he was hooked!!!!! So we are going to start with season one this week and watch again from start to finish.

RELIEVED! They got their freedom.
Barb finally got her priesthood. She deserved it.
Margene got her chance to go abroad and help others, she earned it.
Heather was free of the Henricksons, she learned it - first from Sara, then from Ben.
I'm very happy for them.

I am SO glad it is over! I am very satisfied with the way they pulled it together and ended it. I have not been very happy with the last couple of seasons and was ready to say goodbye, glad I was able to like the series again in the end. We no longer have HBO, Big Love was my only reason for it.

I was devastated by Bill's death. That he asked Barb for a blessing was profound and I am glad that the wives are still in each others lives. I'm surprised that Margene would leave her children for months on end having lost their father already, but other than that, I was satisfied. No mention of Joey and Wanda, or what happened to Ana and the child she was carrying was frustrating but overall, it was an appropriate ending.

My sentiments exactly. After the horrible 4th season, I watched simply for continuity. But so much of the family dynamic was hard to accept. It never made sense for Bill to divorce Barbara so he and Nikki could adopt Cara Lynn. I found myself more and more frustrated.
I thought I would miss Big Love more, but I am glad it is over too. I feel as if I just got off of a harrowing roller coaster ride. You know, one of those rides at the fair where you go because you always wanted to try it but after the ride you swear to yourself NEVER AGAIN!
It's kind of ruined the other seasons I have on disk already. I used to watch them over and over but now that I know that Bill dies... ho-hum. I may watch again sometime, but I am Big Loved out! Sort of, I still keep haunting this forum though.

I have not sobbed over a show before and I did last night. My heart broke watching Lois and Frank go, I believe Frank did them both in. I sobbed when Bill died and he asked Barb to bless him. I kept saying over and over, "We were supposed to get a happy ending." Today I feel a little numb when I think about the show. I haven't processed it all yet. Which is odd for me, even if I cry a few moments later I'm usually saying, "Well that was that."

Sad that Bill died, I never hated Bill; but enjoyed watching him try to put out the forest fires & balance everything that came up within the home, between wives, kids, etc. Kinda sad, I still blame that Carl for taking our Big Love away, grrrr. LOL It was quiet @ our house too, just trying to digest it all. The ending was well suited for the show, overall imo. We were able to see that the wives are still together 11mo later & even though their lives go on to wherever, they will still remain connected in some way, for always!

I'm just glad we got closure, unlike with the Soprano's (or so said people I know who watched it - I didn't).
I think this ending is better than Bill going to prison.

Indifferent. I loved the first two seasons. The third season was pretty good, but I thought that the fourth and fifth seasons were terrible. This season, I kept getting so irritated with all of the writing. It was clear that they were writing in too many storylines to clear them all up, but I kept watching just in case.
I hated the ending. My sister turned to me once it was all over and said, "That ending sucked!" I agreed with her. My husband wasn't a fan.
I hate that Nicki never got hers. She acted like a complete bitch for five seasons and ends the series being the legal wife and with everything all perfect in her world. Not acceptable. Something needed to happen to show that she was truly reformed. I know she had that scene with Barb where she said how messed up she was, but we have seen it all before with her.
Not liking Margene going off and leaving the family like she is doing. I have a one year old and I cannot imagine just leaving her for three months with her father so I can go to South America. Thought this storyline was far too unbelievable.
I did like Barb finally getting the priesthood. That was the one high point.
Unresolved: Are Ben and Heather polygamists? Ben never really let on that he was going to completely chunk his polygamist beliefs. And what happened with Rhonda? Ben said he wanted to take care of her.
Why couldn't Cara Lynn end up with Greg? We never heard another word about him and I really wanted to know what happened with him.
Did they really "Chuck Cunningham" Joey and Wanda? When Frank was talking to Lois about their life, he mentions having Bill, but never Joey. Not once was he mentioned this season.
How do the women have money to survive? With Barb working in the church, Margene doing volunteer work in South America, and Nicki being a stay-at-home-mom, money must be tight. It looks like they still have all three houses and Bill was saying that they were going to have to sell the houses.
Did Alby stay in jail for the rest of his life?
What happened to Adalene?
What happened with Carl?
What happened to Pam after Carl murdered Bill?
Did Frank kill both Lois and himself? How do we know for sure either way?
What is going to happen with Juniper Creek? All of those people were so appreciative of Bill, but were they just going to go back to the compound and the way things were?
What happened with Don?

Well I just read an interview with the writers. They said Frank did not kill himself. Now I want to know what happened to Frank! UGH!!! The more I think about it the more questions I have.

I really am just bitterly disappointed. I loved the first two seasons and I think that is all I will be watching from here on out. I guess I will try to sell of seasons three and four.
