IMHO, Margene did the least growing up of all the characters. So now she wants to see the world, which she only recently noticed existed, and meet new people? So, who doesn't? She wraps her travel lust up in the blanket of doing good for others. Please. She even told Bill, "I've made a lot of false starts in life." Add one more to the list. She, of all people, should be leery of leaving her kids with Nikki.
It appeared that Nikki developed some self-insight and acknowledged her lack of a heart. She's getting better at being a person, but sill using those passive-aggressive manipulations, although lamely. She still can't totally own her feelings. "Call more often. Last time BARB was really worried." Oh, please, Nikki, say you were worried. I wouldn't leave my children with anyone who would lay that kind of guilt on them.

I agree that Bill was a business man, and I'm sure had the forsight to have good life insurance. Also, Bill being a State Legistrator, I'm sure he was well insured from that.
I am still numb at the ending. My daughter and I have watched Big Love together since the first show, it was our time set aside each week. When the shots rang out, she screammed, No, not this way, as tears fell down her face. I couldn't even cry, I was to stunned, I just sit there and stared. I must admit, that I never thought of any of them dying. But, for Bill to be gunned down in the street, my a neighbor he had only tried to help, really disappoints me. There had to another way!
What did Bill's death teach other Polygamist, Keep your mouth shut, look what happened to Bill! All of Bill's work to bring Polygamy out into the light was for nothing!
Yes, I am terribly disappointed with the ending.
I was struck down, both my daughter and I who have been watching Big Love since Season One, when Bill was shot. That was very painful

I think it was supposed to be what Bill said but I can't get the wording exact...it was all too much last night.
Bill said "faith comes from love, not the other way around"
I have to think about that, but I think he said something smart! ;D

I think the message of the show came from Bill talking to Cara Lynn and Barb talking to Sarah.
Bill said regarding family strain: we dig deep. CaraLynn says: but it's not working. Bill replies: id doesn't always work. That's when you dig deeper.
Barb says to Sarah: We've been forged and we are stronger.
I don't agree with nor believe in polygamy. However, I do like the message that I think has really been the overarching message of the entire show. Family is forever. Our nation needs that message right now. It's really what our parents traded away but our grandparents, and ancestors believed.

Yeah, there were a few messages there.
Family. Faith.
two things that are very important to me so this is why I loved the show so much.

This is going to sound corny but I've thought all night and day and I think the message is to love big.
If Bill hadn't loved Barb so deeply he wouldn't have made a church for her. If the wives hadn't deeply loved each other, they wouldn't have been standing together 11 months later.

Wonder how he feels about a female God?
