So who ISN'T surprised Margie is attracted to Goran... Also... Did it not almost seem like Anna and Goran wanted her in a polygamous way? I was confused by that scene.

That scene was really bizarro. I think they wanted the hint of where Margene could go if the marriage collapses.

That scene threw me off for the rest of the episode. I was so confused. But I guess, in the end, she chose Bill because she stood with the family when he won. Next season will be the aftermath of tonight's acceptance speech. Anna and Goran will be part of that aftermath, as we see what this means for them once Margene is outed as Bill's wife.
Crazy...Crazy, Crazy, Crazy!!!!!

I agree that Ana and Goran are willing to accept Margie into their lives as a 2nd wife not for the "principle" but for practical reasons.

I think ana & goran will like to have a menage a trois with Margie-- I said it in another thread--, and I still do there is somewhat of a lesbian/gay vibe between ana & Margene

I thought Ana was invited Margie to be part of her and Goran's relationship in one way other the other. Very weird scene that's for sure.

I think Margene is mainly looking for simple love & acceptance, poly or not. I also think that she didn't find it so much with Bill's wives, always having to stand her ground on things like schedules etc. I also think this is why Margene started the jewelry business. Just to have something she's more in control of & furthers her own usefulness & business desires.

I did not pick up on a lesbian vibe between Ana and Margene. What I did pick up is that Margene seems to have the relationship with Ana that she has always wanted with Barb and Nicki. Add in her attraction to Goran and her disatisfaction with the Henrickson Clan and I think we may be seeing the start of Margene's new family.

I think Margene is realizing that she really isn't 'in love' with Bill... She was attracted to the family because it was a place she felt she 'belonged' for the first time in her life.
It has become more and more obvious though, she really doesn't belong unless she submits to Bill's whims and does what she is told like a dog.
First her attraction to Ben, now Goran... All shows that what she feels for Bill isn't really 'love' per se' it is more of a father daughter relationship that is unhealthy.
Just my opinion.

But in outing herself as the state congressman's polygamist wife, the INS will know she married Goran illegally. How she gets out of that one, I have no clue. Margie's all over the map.

That scene also confused me. And I have to say, I was surprised that Margene felt a spark with Goran; I didn't see it coming.
When Margene was crying and saying those things about herself, Ana looked so concerned for her; like a true friend who was upset to see her friend hurting. I thought it was nice. Then Ana said something about loving Margene and knowing about the spark, etc. That's when I became confused. I also thought she was hinting about a menage a trois.
Last season I did wonder if there was a lesbian vibe going on between them because Margene seemed too happy for Ana to be in the family (instead of being jealous of a new wife). But then I chalked it up to Margene being lonely and needed a friend.

I was very surprised by Margene's revelation braise it seems to be out of character for her. This makes Margene seem like a simple slut when she's really just desperate got loiter and acceptance. Other than the Ben thing she really hadn't crossed many lines as far as men goes.

I thought it was kind of weird that Ana was okay with Margene being attracted to Goran, and that Ana and Goran had even talked about it -- and Ana called Goran over and said, "Tell her we love her." Ana was pretty clear that she thinks the Henrickson's polygamous lifestyle is a cult, and that she wanted her baby to be raised "normally", not with that family. I'm surprised that she would be okay with sharing Goran with Margene -- but maybe it's that she's okay with sharing Margene with Goran, and she really is attracted to Margene herself? Maybe Ana is okay with polyamory, as long as it's not for religious reasons?

Ana and Goran are still working their agenda.....to get Margene to stay legally married to Goran so that he can stay in the country. Ana would have agreed to anything that Margene said, and when Margene confessed her attraction to Goran.....game on! Ana has consistenly reinforced Margene's fears and worries about being the bottom dog in the pack in the Hendrickson family, and now she can offer her an exhaulted position in the Ana/Goran household. Margene can move ahead as the silver jewelry queen, Ana can stay home from her crummy waitress job and keep the babies, Goran can go to school.
As for the INS, Margene has been outed as a polygamist. All she has to say is that she really loved Goran all along, she married him for love, she didn't leave Bill until after the election out of loyalty.
I just wished there had been a shot of the INS lady's face while she watched Bill's acceptance speech on TV.

YES! There definitely IS some kind of flirting thing going on with Marge and Ana even before that bizarre scene in the kitchen.
And do you remember lsat season when Bill lost his viagra down the sink, and Margene gave Bill a taste of a manage et tois. Maybe that was some foreshadowing...
