Going from "bill should be prophet" to " I love him more and I don't want to share" is kind of a leap. How does nicki continue to be a believer in the "principal" and then basically denounce their poly marriage?
That's kind of what she was getting at this ep, when her and bill had their little talk. she basically said "I don't want to share you now that i love you and i want you to feel the same about me... but oh, yeah of course i still believe in the principal, and oh um no ... i would never want to push margene or barb out." lol Definitely a new brand of emotional conflict for Nicki I think. But as she also said, she didnt used to think she deserved someoen all for herself or how was it she put it?...
anywho - I'm anxious to see how it plays out as well.

I lliked Nikki the best in this epi. Especially the scene with Alby. They were finally freed up enough to say that they loved each other & they hugged. It lasted just a moment until Alby's demons returned. (Very touching) Also, Nikki's desire to be loved by her husband; willing to go to any lengths to please & win his affection. ie. getting treatments to become pregnant; putting on the nightgown which she felt uncomfortable with but she just had to put on some panties on underneath it. LOL

Nikki edged out Barb for me this episode when she delivered that roundhouse slap to Bill. That was a long time coming...that man needs some sense knocked into him. While she's in the slapping mood, Nikki also needs to deliver one to Margie as well for her situation with Ana and Goran. I mean "hellooo"? You're breaking the law and attempting fraud on the U.S. Government...of course there's consequences if they're caught! The worst that can happen to Ana and Goran is that they're deported...and they were already prepared to leave. Margie's the one risking jail time. Nikki needs to slap her for being such a dumb***.

I'm really feeling Nikki now, I always enjoyed her stance on everything from the principal to her place in the family and all of her backstabbing, stealing and doubledealing ways. I can really appreciate where she is right now, with the uprising of her feelings and the fact that she's able to love and even becoming possessive re: Bill.
I like Barb, but I wish she would own what she's doing more. I feel like she is bumbling along responding out of spite or surprise. I guess that's better than nothing, seeing the light however you do it....just it do it. Margene, is boring and the way she's changing is not interesting to me. I don't get her right now. I know she needs to save her business, but eh. I don't get her right now.

I think Nicki is having trouble with what she believes even more now that she is taking whatever it is that JJs son is giving her. I think Nicki has been "lost" for some time now, but I think her emotional turn on her marriage has been a little more drastic because of whatever it is he is giving her.

In "Next Ticket Out" in my opinion Nikki stood out the most. It's hard for me to say which wife is my favorite overall. When I first started watching the show Margene was my favorite. As all of the wives have "grown" I see them now in different ways. I see how Nikki's past at Juniper Creek really shaped her. I see how much Barb, in my opinion, has given up for Bill. In my opinion, I think Margene has benefited the most from becoming Bill's third wife. I don't think Margene would be where she is today without learning from Barb and Nikki.

I'm torn but I have to say Margie.....she is not fooling around after being stepped on by everyone for too many years. She has changed so much and is just so calm about all of the polygamy "hoopla" now (like the teather ball game--she knew what was going on, but just sat there mostly with no emotion.)
I just have to say that I hate her hair. In the intro she is the most beautiful by far with that flowing, long hair and angelic face; and now she's got this short, flat...I don't know what. I realize it's a prop to show she is changing (the businesswoman look) but can we get a better wig?
Sorry to be off topic a bit but Margie is seen the most in the intro. I think after Nicki's first face shot she is put in poses that make her seem very unattractive. I LOVE Barb's total fall into the darkness....just more foreshadowing.

think the new opening holds more symbolism that we realize yet

This is bothering me.
Nicki's starting to love Bill is important in that I don't think it has anything to do with Bill. I think it has to do with something in her being set free. Roman is dead. She has the daughter she had to live without back in her life. She hasn't just found that she loves Bill. She has found that she can love. Period.
And God forbid we have time to explore this interesting development. Not when we have boring Ana to eat precious minutes of air time.
