*decided just to cut and copy my post from the ep 40 board to here... less confusing (I hope)*
So between the preview and the breif episode synopsis : " ana resurfaces with a surprise revalation, ben goes south of the border" here are my predictions, lemme' know what you think
Ben is going to follow his dad's "lost boy" path and find himself in some kind of trouble with the border bird smuggling he'll be doing for Lois. This could be what takes Bill to mexico - as many interviews with the writers have cited him doing this season.
Bill is going to tell margene that saying she was a single mom, etc on tv was not acceptable and make her publicly denounce her previous statements on-air.
Barb isnt feeling this whole "life changing" experience of coming out after election. None of the other wives are either - which is where the " are we a family who makes decisions together?" comment comes into play.
I think wanda's "terrible foreboding" is going to be her way of telling Nicki that JJ molested her and is doing / going to do the same to cara lyn. So Nicki litterally comes in to take cara lyn out of there.
Ana is working at the casino - Bill may even have known about it. when ana says "oh crap" she has a "I'm busted" look about her & then when she says "Bill" her voice raises almost like she's inviting him to explain. Instead he says (very fake) " nice to see you again" b/c he doesnt want barb to know *something* about the whole ana situation. Could it be he has continued to see her? Or maybe just helped her out by giving her a job? what? Bill definitely doesnt look shocked to see her. (watch it again and look)
I could be completely wrong about any of these theories... just my guesses. what's yours?

I bet Ana IS pregnant! Oh wow that would be great. I would actually really love that story line.
It's likely you're right about Cara Lyn too. Anyone want to put bets on how many episodes until JJ goes to sleep with the fishes?

Thanks for the carification withay but i do have one more question... if the person already has 6 wives, even "marriages" are just in ceremony, correct? I guess thats where the confusion came in for me - "marriage" being legal "sealing" a ceremony for wives 2 -100 was my previous understanding. I posted the preview breakdown for ep 40 (as wel as put up the board for that ep) does anyone mind if i move this thread over there? I'm not sure exactly what you are asking so I will go over all of it and hope I manage to answer yout question. A man can only have one "legal" wife because that is the law in this country. Any additional wives would be "spiritual" wives. A man can be "sealed" to multiple women...as many as approved of by the Prophet. "Sealed" means they are husband and wife for eternity. He may take a wife "for time" and not be sealed to her. This marriage would end at death. My understanding is that this is usually done when a woman is already "sealed" to a husband and her husband dies. A woman cannot be "sealed" to more than one man at a time. The Prophet can unseal a couple, sometimes without their consent.

I guess i was just wondering what the word / term would be for the act of performing a marriage "for time" ? If legally = "married" "marriage" etc. "for eternity" = "sealed" then "for time" = what? Kind of a moot point, i was just curious.
so what are you guys looking forward to most in the upcoming episode? any particular story line / part of the previews that you cant wait to see play out?
For me , i'm super intrigued by two of the preview's teasers - ana's return and sissy's befriending barb.

Married (legal or spiritual)= for time Sealed= for eternity Men can be sealed to multiple women Women can be sealed to only one man Anytime you are married (polygamous or not) in the Morman church it is for "time only" until your marriage is "sealed". Being married and being sealed are different things. "Sealed" means your family is bound together for eternity. "Married" is just until death. For example: they have not explained Adaleen's situation clearly enough for me. She was not Roman's first wife when she married him so they would have been "spiritually married". But she spoke of how she "walked over the backs" of other wives to become his first wife. So apparently his first wife died and Adaleen was then legally married to him. She would have already been "sealed" to him for eternity because a man can be sealed to multiple women. When Roman died, Adaleen became free to be married "for time" to whoever Alby chose. She would still have been sealed to Roman to join him after death. Alby could also have "unsealed" her from Roman and then sealed her to JJ. That would separate her from Roman after death because a woman cannot be sealed to multiple men. I do not think they have made it clear if she has been married to JJ or sealed to him. And there is a HUGE difference!

I agree they havent been clear enough on whether she is married or sealed to JJ.
The part that got confusing for me was the word "married" being used to mean either legal or spirtual, b/c non- legal spiritual marriage (to me) was syn. w/ "sealing". I just didnt grasp that non-legal spiritual marriage does not necessarily equate a "sealing".
I think in the show they may be using the term "sealed" as a general word to describe both sealings "for time" and for "eternity".

I think that, on the show, most of the time, couples are married and sealed at the same time. We have not seen many cases where a widow is married after the death of her husband and that is when it is most common in FLDS.
