I don't like Barb and Marge fighting, but I don't really feel Barb was being abusive to Marge. I think she had just had enough and FINALLY voiced how she felt. I think that Bill had asked her so long to keep her feelings in that she finally had enough. Maybe it wouldn't have been so harsh had she been able to talk about her feelings before now.
Remember Barb was not expecting the kind of marriage she has ended up with when she married Bill. She wasn't expecting Nikki and she certainly wasn't expecting Marge or even Anna - remember how she acted there. One thing Bill finally said that was right on in this episode was that it wasn't fair of him to ask them to keep their jealously feelings hidden when he couldn't do it himself.
Barb didn't expect this kind of marriage but she has tried hard to make it work. Marge was messing with it all. Barb only sees that Marge moved in on Bill and then it appeared Marge was moving in on her son too. Since Barb hasn't been told the full story of anything (so many in this show), she only saw Marge as a homewrecker.

I do not see a romance with Tommy and Barb.. it would be OCC. If Barb could suffer through Nikki and then Margen in years before the show started and then all of Bills crud in the past 2 seasons and not cheat....i do not see her doing so. I think shes in love with her husband but angry over how their marriage turnd out. I could see a passionate kiss that Bill catchs though...maybe seeing the love that saved him kissing someone else would snap Bill out of his self centered land

I love the Barb/Tommy thing and I think there is something simmering there. I think Tommy sees her as well-meaning but neglected. He's lost his family and here is Bigshot-Bill with his three wives that he doesn't seem to really care about.
I don't see Barb acting on it, but I do see her maybe throwing it in Bill's face that she could leave if she wanted to.
