The Temptation of Barb...

While Bill has been out in pursuit of his (seemingly never ending) ambitions, His wives have fallen in the arms and on the lips of other men. First Nikki with Ray Henry and now Sweet Margene with his own son.

I want to see Barb go that route or at least skirt the very edge of it. Maybe a few late nights at the casino with Tommy, a few casual touches here and there.... Just something that would capture Bills attention enough to become suspicious. Maybe then he will want to play father and husband instead of suit and tie self made business-political man( with a cape!).

As as wonderful as it would be to watch the temptation of Barb I don't think it would happen. The only time her morals were really wavering was the affair with her own husband....mmm kinky. Oh well a girl can dream, yes a girl can dream.

Does anyone remember when it seemed like Bill's brother could have had a "thing" for Barb?

Anyway, as awesome as a Barb and Tommy flirtation and or affair would be it would be very out of Barb's character imho.

I agree, Barb started this thing monogamous, and she'll end it that way IMO.

I actually see the possibility of something happeneing with Joey more likely than Tommy.
Him showing up to "hold the wall up" took me back to the time she seemed ot really be wishing Bill were more like Joey, imo.

I could never see Barb giving in to temptation like the other sister wives. Somehow she just seems to be above all of that. If something does manifest itself in the form of an attraction between Barb and Tommy, I highly doubt that she would act on it. And as much as she adores Joey, I couldn't see her taking that route with him either. I believe that Barb is still very much in love and devoted to Bill; her work at the casino is just another manifestation of that love.

Such a shame, because Barb is way too good for Bill.

Joey is more like a kid to Barb, I think she takes a mother role with him and doesn't see him in a romantic way.

I don't see Barb having an affair with Tommy, even if she was attracted to him...she's Mormon through and through!

Barb cheating on Bill would be the ultimate betrayal.

Unfortunately that seems very unlikely. Barb is so blindly devoted to Bill. She has given up everything for that man, it's too hard to see her falling for anyone else.

Barb didn't grow up in a plural marriage yet she dropped her beliefs and allowed Bill to bring two women into their home. She was cast into outer darkness for him, which was devastating for her, she has lost touch with her family...she is all about Bill.

I hope she wakes up and realizes that he is playing her for a fool.

Ummm...do you really think that Tommy would EVER want Barb? He hates her. He hates everything that she stands for. I think that's very very unlikely...although that would make for a very interesting plot twist and this is a drama.

I loved watching Barb get told off at the casino...but the truly sad part was she still had that bewildered look on her face. She still doesn't get it. I can't stand when people are so completely obtuse.

Barb and Tommy are going to get together! I can't wait to see it happen! Barb is really going to find her independence this season. Barb is really impressed by the character that Sissy Spacek is playing. Barb is going to be in awe of how Sissy's character handles herself and is assertive. Get ready for a Barb and Tommy romance, I am pretty sure that it is going to happen! The writers of the show discuss how the characters evolve at hbo dot com. The writers also discuss how long the series will run. It will either be 5 or 6 seasons. It is interesting how all of the wives are pulling away from Bill. How do you think Bill is going to handle all of his wives acting on their attractions to other men: Margene and Ben (I want to note that I have always loved Margene and Ben together and hope they end up together), Nikki finding love and realizing that she is actually a warm person with feelings, and now Barb and Tommy.

I don't think it is a spoiler about Tommy and Barb...I just kinda started the rumor because they don't get along...There seems to be a lot of anger and frustration there that I think may turn into something more.

I think I just want to see Tommy naked. lol!

As funny as it would be in theory, I really don't see Tommy and Barb having an affair. Barb is way too devoted to Bill to stray, plus it goes against all of her beliefs. It would be really out of character for her to do that. She might play with the idea, especially if Tommy is supportive of her after she finds out about Ben being kicked out of the house, but I don't think she would allow anything to go further than a kiss.
