wanda probably was just inside at Teenys party-- she is catonic, so they probably won't push her-- thouhgt Niki was great to take her home to care for her- Niki is getting much stronger-- I think she will help Wanda- they have always been very close But I agree whrere the hell is Joey????he should be back by now-- I don't think he should have gone to mexico in the first place--- Bill uses joey when he needs him- Joey should have stayed home where he belongs with wanda-- I hope he doesn't fall for Jodean, as I want him only with Wanda

IIRC, Wanda was not in the room with Cara Lynn and Toby. She was in another room with her parents. In the other rooms, the 'brides' had several relatives with them (at least in one of the other rooms) so why weren't they with Cara Lynn? I think Alby, at JJ's behest, had Wanda unsealed from Joey and sealed to another man. Maybe it didn't come to pass because of the excitement of Nicki's arrival and saving of Cara Lynn.
I'm not saying that's why Joey isn't back yet -- I just keep wondering why she was in a different room at La Esperanza. I'm thinking Joey doesn't even know.
Of course as a plot device, having her in the other room allows Nicki to burst in on her and find that she is losing her mind. But it doesn't make sense.
This is about the most crazy out-on-a-limb prediction I think I have ever made!

I don't think Joey has felt the same way about Wanda since he fell in love with that twin. He said in the first season, "I'm a monogamist at heart; don't tell Bill." He was talking to Barb.

I think Joey loves Wanda deeply but let's be honest, Wanda is not a well woman. Joey has been with her so long, he forgot how sick she is. I think Kathy reminded him of how normal people think, act and function in life.

with Wanda staying at Nikki's, we may get some plot twists cleared up in the next episode....if they can get her to talk, she seems to be the one who will have allot of answers about JJ and what he and his son are up to...and what he did to Adaleen...if she figures outt hat Nikki is seeing Dr Feelgood, she may open up to save Nikki from whatever he's shooting her up with

It looked to me like JJ had Wanda drugged or something. She could have just been having an episode, but with JJ there talking about taking her back to his parent's house, it just didn't seem right. I don't trust JJ. I could be wring but I think he was doing something to Wanda and Nikki came in and saved him from doing any more harm.

people keep saying she's catatonic but she's not in my opinion, she's disassociated firstly as of the moment catatonia is merely a subtype of schizophrenia with this being the criteria: According to the DSM-IV, the "With catatonic features" specifier can be applied if the clinical picture is dominated by at least two of the following: -motor immobility as evidenced by catalepsy (including waxy flexibility) or stupor -excessive motor activity (purposeless, not influenced by external stimuli) -extreme negativism (motiveless resistance to all instructions or maintenance of a rigid posture against attempts to be moved) or mutism -peculiarities of voluntary movement as evidenced by posturing, stereotyped movements, prominent mannerisms, or prominent grimacing -echolalia or echopraxia i don't see that in her... she's quiet and non responsive to JJ or Nicki verbally but she certainly was aware that they were there you could see it in her face. and she was knitting, which requires marginal amounts of focus (as in, she has to have the intent to knit - it's not something i would consider a repetitive catatonic movement, like rocking) as for my opinion she's dissociated - well, i'm not referring to like MPD or DID (multiple personalities aka "sybil") but more of a temporary i don't know, fugue or amnesiac state... she's up in he rmind playing with the ponies in the nursery (or knitting them blankets). protecting her mind (her soul, heart, spirit, etc) by escaping her current reality. it's entirely possible to carry out tasks while in a state like this, and she'd probably not recall anything about whats going on right now when she snaps to. my opinions folks JB

I think he's sexual abusing her again. Did anyone notice where he grabbed her when he was trying to talk Nikki out of taking her? It was slight, but the camera focused on it enough for me to think maybe he's going over to her house at night and"sleeping" with her. ugh.

Joey+twin=Wanda floating face down. Add in all the other stressers in Wanda's life, and I wouldn't let her near a kiddie pool! lol!

A few episodes back, Joey and Wanda were in bed and he asked her what she wanted and she said a yellow house with rocking chairs, and herself and Joey with their children and grandchildren, and then just the two of them together. She said something about her past, but her line was so under the volume level that, no matter how many times I've re-watched the episode, I cannot catch what she said. Something to the effect that her past shouldn't/doesn't matter, and that her life began with Joey. Surely something traumatic occurred, and the only way she can handle it is to put it aside because there's nothing she can do about it. Anyone catch what she said??? She's been a fragile character since the very beginning of season one, and now it looks like things that happened in her past are coming to light now, which are of great importance in the story line. Like another "whammy" from out of the blue. They keep bringing out more backstory information and I go into "overload," and miss an awful lot! I find Big Love's fluctuating volume level and Margene's "speak talking" very annoying at times. Too much info in too short a time, too quickly or too softly spoken. Complain, complain, complain...sorry!

[ I watch with the captions on, and that's pretty much it. I think JJ is implanting her (and his) embryos in Adaleen, and probably Nicki next. Wanda knows it, and knows that she lets things out accidentally, so her best bet is to retreat into silence. JJ tried to take her home because he was afraid she would blab, once she realized Nicki was also going to JJ's son as a doctor.

Nicki has suddenly fallen in love with Bill, Margene has made a fortune and decorated an office in a few weeks, but STILL baby Joey is only a baby!
