Honesty, Ana and Goran really bother me; they just strike me as such opportunists. I understand why it was funny to her that Bill was complaining about sharing Margene, but as albertaleon said, she KNEW what she was getting into when she was about to be sealed to Bill, and she WAS okay with it until she found out that she had to put her earnings into the communal pot. Its also kinda hypocritical that she called them crazy and tried to shut them out after she told Bill she wanted a divorce because she thought by staying with them, she was ruining the love that drew her to them in the first place. Just my two cents

Bill sounded like a fool! It was made worst by the fact that he believed his own crap. He's so weird. Did you catch him scowling at Anna for dusting crumbs from the toast on the floor? not a good idea but, his nerve is unreal.

Well, I didn't know you could get in trouble for marrying for INS purposes. It just never occurred to me. Actually it seems kind of stupid to have such a law. You should be able to marry anyone you want for whatever reason (IMO). I guess I figured since there's no law that you have to marry for love, it would be legal. I did know, though, that there are rules, like you have to stay married for so long, and you might have to actually live together, etc. In the military people get married all of the time for convenience purposes, so why would this be any different than marrying for INS purposes?
I don't know. Just saying that if I, a woman about Margene's age, didn't know that you could get in serious trouble, I could see how she didn't know either. Of course, *I* probably would have looked into it further before agreeing to do something like that, which is the difference. I can't believe Margene didn't even do a little research prior to. A google search probably would have brought up whatever she wanted/needed to know.

I mean she had to have in order to find out everything she DID know and show up at Anna's with the whole thing planned out... Right? I wouldn't have known WHAT the consequences were probably, but I would have expected there were some laws and consequences involved and checked into it before going and doing it. That would be like deciding to buy a new car and not even finding out how much it costs.

Just my two cents I'm wondering if Ana's attitude is a writer's slip up or if they're just hoping that we'd not remember that Ana left under what seemed to be good terms? If not, then I wish someone would remind Ana that she once married them by choice and left, not because of their religious beliefs or the hypocrisy, but because she didn't want to ruin what the family had before her arrival. Her current attitude just seems so random!

I thought once ana came to terms with and accepted the whole polygamy thing - her acceptance (even though she married them) always seemed a little tentative. As she started seeing "how things worked" (chain of command, common pot, etc) she backed further away from it pretty quickly. Seeing what her presence was doing to the family / marriage dynamic was kind of a last straw from my point of view.
Thinking of it that way - I can see how looking back she would just deem them all crazy lol she never REALLy considered herself one of them.
